Samous is a tough individual who enjoys the occassional battle. It was through meeting May that she was able to gain the chance to ecome the next gym leader in Petalburg, which is both exciting and terrifying to her. She often is trying to make her gym team get stronger, although that doesn't excuse her from helping her mom around the house.
Maybe she isn't her mother's biological daughter, but she is loved just as much as Lex is.

For the most part Samous had an okay childhood. She was an only child from her father's marriage until the two adults divorced and separated. She went on to live with her dad who soon married again and introduced Lex to her step-sister, Sam. The two for the most part were inseparable since they were near the same age. However as they grew older Sam started to gain interest in gyms and wanting to become a gym leader, while Lex started to visit the Pokemon Center more and learn how to help Pokemon.
Jadin is the only thing Samous has left of her father, who had gone missing in recent years. The Lopunny had been a gift from him. Now she lives with her step mother still, who she adores and can' timagine leaving alone being the only parent she has now.
As she was growing up she met up with May, and immediately gained a crush on the other girl. It was through May that she was able to meet Norman, who quickly saw potential in her. Samous had always had an interest in gyms and had even planned on battling them herself, but Norman quickly offered her the opportunity to be his successor since May didn't seem very interested in taking his place. Samous accepted and has been on the journey to prepare herself to take over Petalburg Gym.
