About
Charismatic • Uptight • Two-faced
The younger, "good" twin of the Graham Estate girls, Candy is Crumbling Heights's resident blonde haired, blue-eyed prep. When not playing badminton or croquet, she can often be found driving her beloved pink cadillac around town while hunting for new dresses or keeping tabs on her fellow youths. Seeing herself as a sort of "moral pillar" due to her sister's adoption of counterculture, hippie behaviors, Candy is a wolf in sheep's clothing, and curates her social life with a daintily gloved iron fist.
Candy is known for her "type A personality", feeling obligated to pick up the slack of her twin and keep up apperances for the sake of her family name. She excells in school, sports, and community service--never letting her affluent upbringing give off the impression to the public that she is spoiled or aloof. However, this could not be further from the truth. While sweet and saccharine in the presence of authority figures, Candy is incredibly nasty to those in her own age group, often belittling those around her for "subpar" tastes or lack of "culture". Still, Candace controlls her public perception with an almost machiavellian precision, which means that she always gets away with her awful treatment of other kids due to her demure, good-girl identity.
Trivia
- Her name is a pun on "Candygram", which is a gift of candy or other sweets wired to another person with an accompanying message.
- Candy's interests include: croquet, jewelry making, hot rods, and boy bands.
- She was born with syndactyly of her right middle and ring finger. She had surgery as a child to have it fixed, but due to scarring, she prefers to wear gloves at all times.
- Her conventional, good-girl looks betray a lot of the surprisingly "controversial" (for the time) opinions she has, such as womens rights, opposition to the Vietnam war, and a disinterest in men and marriage as a whole.
- She keeps a pack of cigarettes stashed away in the glove compartment of her car for when she feels stressed or upset. Additionaly, she keeps a croquet mallet in the trunk for self-defense purposes.
Relations
"You're a know-it-all but you're MY know it all and my best friend. As much as I dislike it or think your friends are weird, I'll always support you like you support me. Just don't ever ask me to wear anything flower power, okay? Eugh!"
"Yes, mother..."
" I don't care what my sister says, you're nothing but a pigheaded jerk! Things were just FINE before you showed up in your stupid little van. Who do you think you are?"
