"The Guardian Akita, having been a favorite at the train  station when  he was alive, now haunts the very tracks where he had  waited for his  owner to return. The signs of a presence are seen in  passing reflections  in trains, paw prints that track mud into the  gateways, and the stories  of survivors who had been too close to the  tracks and had suddenly been  pulled back just in the nick of time. If  you listen to the rushing of  the train as it blows past, sometimes you  might hear a familiar bark  that accompanies it. To honor the Akita,  there is a small memorial full  of candles and treats where people go to  pay their respects."
