Scylla has always had a lean and hungry look. Her features are thin, finely-drawn, her mouth and eyes narrow. She's a striking woman, a study in contrasts which she enhances by her makeup and clothing. She's the perfect stereotype of a female vampire: eyes blazing, face a harsh mask. Her red lips part for a sharp, final kiss.
That embracing of vampiric mythos isn't necessarily deliberate. Scylla's style is a rejection of poverty and anonymity, the natural progression from a childhood of feed sack dresses and a bare, scrubbed face. To her, simplicity and piety are both synonyms for stupidity. She still has a great distaste for anything secondhand. More than that, she longs to feel powerful. She crafts her appearance with slinky silk dresses, emphasizing an aggressive femininity. She wants men to stop in the street at the sight of her; she wants them to die for her happily, gasping desire with their last breaths. Vindictively, she wants to throw out her stockings after a single run.

- Scylla was born to 1920s americana, and cut her teeth on dime novels and film noir in the 1940s. any of these themes would be appropriate for her as well as modern takes
- i can't draw her the same way twice so embrace the inconsistencies
