ultimate astroneer/pilot; title suspended after the implosion of spacecraft 113-AIEG
born to a prominent family in the space travel frontier, oz always loved the idea of space and flight.
when he was 6 years old, he crafted his own bike plane that caught air for a moment before crashing. aer parents were overjoyed.
never attended school of any kind, instead was encouraged by his dad to pick up anything he could from the employees at his company.
spent the next 12 years studying welding, engineering, chemistry, astronomy, and construction through the manufacturing and testing of aerospace designs & units. ae also had an interest in comics, arctic exploration, and old technology, all of which were supported by his mentors.

at the age of 18, ozmund was given the opportunity to help man a launch of the 113-AEIG with his father and mother watching from the surrounding area. no team members were on the spacecraft but were instead inside the facility. given two successful practices prior, oz was sure of his abilities and went through the procedure with lots of pizazz to show his peers and parents how much he had learned. with this display, ae forgot to check a specific weight on the side of the rocket caused by a can of soda aer left inside the craft during repairs. devastation followed.
the craft took off upward and slowly sideways. ozmund, realizing his mistakes, tried to take further control of the rocket to fix the error, only making it worse with an incorrect input on the XYZ coordinates. rushing in on the research facility and command center, the side of the spacecraft decimated the building. in his panic, ozmund forgot his emergency training and remained in the place, trying to the very end to fix his mistake. ae was the only victim of the crash.
it took 2 hours for emergency services to locate ozmund, unconscious and both of his legs shattered.
he was suited up in the hospital with pain medications and a planned surgery to replace his legs from the knee down. aer parents agreed to give him the best legs they could, but only in return that ae would walk on aer own two feet from now on, forever in debt for the demolished facility and its pricy equipment.

ozmund was released from the hospital 6 months later after practicing with physical therapy and collecting what little belongings he could keep on him from his parents.
with a backpack and cash from odd jobs, ae continues to travel the world and try to make a name for aerself.
fun facts:
- ozmund is lefthanded
- he has hitchhiker's thumb on both hands, which is funny since he hitchhikes a lot!
- very temperature tolerant [thankfully]
- aer favorite food is a gas station hot dog

- he has extensive scars and burns across his body, mostly concentrated around his legs
