No one knows who you are, and you like it that way.
Why do you like it that way?

You don’t know yourself, do you?
You don’t know who you are anymore,
Which seems to be just fine by you.

What is your name, stranger?
Who are you?

Your

name

is….

NAME: W̛ H ͊ͤ͐̂ͪͮ̑̀O ͗̀ ́ ̒͊̄ͫͮ̑̍͝ K̉ͩ̚ ͑҉Nͦ̇̇̉̿ͭ ̂̋̌̄̏͊̊O̍ͮ̊ͧ̔ ͪŴ̧ͬ̑̔ͧ̚ ́S̈́̃̍ ͭ̓ ͥ̈ͫ̋ ̧̏͛̊ Aͪͣ́ ̔͋͊̈̀̓ͫ́N̅̄̈͋ͥ̌ ̏̾Y̾ ̾̋ͪ͛̃̃ͫM ̊̆̉ͧ̊O̵͋͗̃ͩ͊͐͗ ̸̽͒ͥ̌̚R ͗̓̿̇̀͡Eͦ͆ͪ̆̐
ALIAS: Holy Iret
AGE:
Unknown, estimated to have been “Iret” for ~500+ years now. Is at least around 32-35 in human years.
FACE CLAIM: Michael Peña
VOICE: Deep. Boston accent that worsens with emotion. Can distort and warp over itself and layer in a glitchy “echo” effect. His actual voice is one he rarely uses unless he’s judging someone. Read this post for more information on Iret’s voice.
VOICE CLAIM: “Talking” Voice || Actual voice || Singing Voice
BIRTHDAY: Mid-late January
ZODIAC: Aquarius sun, Taurus moon, Libra rising
GENDER:
Panflux (he/him, they/them)
ORIENTATION: Pansexual Demiromantic; Polyamorous; somewhat long term commitment shy (unrelated to his polyamorous-ness)
HEIGHT:
5’
SPECIES:
Greater Dragon (Dark)
OCCUPATION: Sentry under Damsel’s watch. Watches over the timelines in Universe 777 and enacts HOLY IRE among all the timelines the Universe sends him to as THE JUDGE, THE JURY, and THE EXECUTIONER to Puppets and Players, specifically. Acts as a guard among some various unrelated timelines. In his original timeline, he was a member of The King’s royal guard, under his brother and General Lesmad, as well as a scout.
HAIR: None (Shaved in human glamour, dyed magenta)
EYES: Generally white dots in his empty sockets, however on occasion he has nothing but a void, or a simple blue glowing pupil that glows in his left eye. As of 1/11/2019, it has been revealed that Iret’s eye light can turn gold and sepia when he uses HOLY IRE.
LIKES: Not much makes him feel great these days, but his brother, Draco is always someone who can cheer him up.
DISLIKES: Suffering. The Prowler Beast. Players.

GENERAL APPEARANCE:

Iret is a short and stout skeleton-like being who wears a velvety purple jacket, basketball shorts, and pink fluffy bunny slippers. He’s short, can be seen holding an almost forced smile, and slouches (often with his hands in his jacket pockets).

Despite being all bone, his clothes fit him as if he is overweight and cause a sense of “form” to show up around his body. This is due to a completely clear “skin” like ectoplasmic form that covers his body (even his head, to a small/lesser degree) called an exoskeleton. It is just as much his body as his bones are, which is why he bleeds when cut. In the right light, one can see this exoskeleton of sorts shimmer, but it isn’t very commonly seen otherwise. It can, however, be felt, and does affect space around it (re: if he’s laying shirtless on a bed, the bed conforms to this form rather than just his bones). He has the power to control this exoskeleton (most entities in this universe do) and can even completely let himself fall apart if he so desires, only to spring back to life with no damage.

The jacket Iret wears is incredibly special to him. Don’t damage it if you value your health.

HEALTH:

Here’s a post on all the injuries Iret suffers from and how they affect him.

There are times where Iret can be seen walking with a cane due to his leg injuries. Iret also cannot run very well, but he can use other magic to help him dodge, such as teleportation magic. Iret has a variety of them to pick from. His favorite is one that bears a golden angry dragon-shaped handle curled over the shaft.

He suffers from depression, C-PTSD, anxiety, and doesn’t cope well with them. At all. His magic also takes a heavy toll on his emotions and his mental state and, should too much HOLY IRE boil up within him, can cause him to BURN HOLY, which causes damage to both him and everyone/thing around him. This magic damage can linger somewhat like radiation poisoning for a varying period of time depending on how much IRE was built up within him prior to burning.

At times, Iret deals with cognitive issues and auditory processing difficulties such as lack of focus and understanding speech during conversations, slowed verbal response time, inability to come up with the right words (which affects his puns and comedic timing), and occasionally deals with mood swings and poor mood management from self-frustration. He has a tendency to self punish often as well due to the immense guilt (and survivor’s guilt) that weighs heavy on his bony shoulders.

RELATIONSHIP STATUS (main AUs): Single, possibly uninterested. Ex-lover of Dede. (Verse dependent otherwise)

POWERS/ABILITIES:

For a more in-depth list of his abilities, see this post.

Iret has the ability to look outside of the “game” universe he exists in and see how things work using light blue magic, which is associated with Insight. He knows about Players and he knows about exp, can use save files, load save files, and in some rare cases, reset timelines himself.

Iret specifically remembers most of his timelines after his home timeline was destroyed, especially those he plays JUDGE, JURY, and EXECUTIONER to, and has an incredible amount of power that he shouldn’t have. Like his counterparts, he has an inkling that many, many timelines have been lost and devoured by the Beast with no one to save them.

Unlike most characters, Iret chooses to dodge and cheat in his fight, using his Insight to help him gain any and all advantages on Players and their Puppets. His Humanity, however, is untouchable by other magic/characters/players due to the many glitches he built to protect it. Do not attempt to touch his Humanity if you value yours.

Iret possesses Holy Retribution, a move that ignores invincibility frames between attacks and physically weighs puppets and players alike down with the weight of their own sins committed during their gameplay. Holy Ire (that is, the magic associated with Holy Retribution and what Iret is named after) has the uncanny ability to make anyone touched by it experience a sense of malaise and extreme (sometimes existential) dread, which bleeds heavily into Iret’s aura and often leads to people avoiding hanging around him. It causes heavy bleed damage that cannot be healed by potions or food, and cannot kill a player (bring them lower than 1HP).

Iret bleeds a thick ichor that is marbled with blue, white, and gold in color. This is also the same color of his tears and other bodily fluids, and is the coloration of the inside of his “flesh” should his human glamour or exoskeleton be cut open and peeled back.

Iret has the ability to summon several different skull-based firing attacks that are based on several Dragons of Old. They contain different aspects of his duties in Universe 777. The most prominent one is called the Holy Blaster, which is a deer-like beast head that can see beyond the universe/“game” and destroy things such as save files, reset buttons, the Player’s hub, and entire scripts if necessary.

There are other powers Iret possesses, but they are yet to be revealed.

PERSONALITY:

Iret has a sharp tongue and very little censor, meaning he can be much cruder and sassier than his alternates, and is not afraid to speak his mind. Unless it’s regarding his real thoughts and feelings. He doesn’t like people to think he matters too much due to knowing his “place” in the world, and he hates being an open book due to the fear that others will prey on him like they have in the past.

Riddled with a sense of despair and nihilism due to watching many timelines (including his own) destroyed before his eyes (and being unable to stop it), Iret tends to avoid personal connection and emotional intimacy. Despite an aggressive sense of Hope that is rooted deeply within his Humanity, Iret has lost hope for himself and has resigned to living a life full of being forced to do things for the Universe that he has no control over.

Though friendly, he keeps everyone at an arm’s length in order to make sure not to get hurt whenever they inevitably are reset or hurt them when he needs to do his “divine” duties. He could be called to judge and execute anyone at any time, meaning it’s possible he could be fighting his own friends - therefore making them seems less than ideal. Despite this, Iret is friends / friendly with almost everyone in his current timeline, even the strange human Kodi who wanders around, lost in a world not her own.

He is more than eager to protect his timeline and those he considers friends, and he is overly defensive of versions of himself and his brother Draco who cannot defend themselves or who have suffered greatly. It is rumored Iret is the reason why no more Players connect to his current home timeline, but, if you ask around, it is said that each character played a part in the Players ultimately being locked out.

Players, gods, and higher entities outside of the Universe’s command are always on Iret’s shit list to begin with, though he has made quite a few friends with some interesting characters… even Players, before.

Iret does not make or keep promises.

BACKGROUND:

[ READ HERE FOR THE BIRTH OF IRET || TW: Gore/Blood, Child Death, Religious Themes ]

Iret’s background is still mostly a mystery, although we do know he was the ultimate reason why his timeline no longer has any Players as well as the fact he is taken universally abroad to keep balance within the universe and games alike. Nowadays, Iret tends to stick to his home timeline and mind his business, having been called on less and less ever since a mysterious force sealed a terrible beast away for good. He spends most of his time researching universes and keeping tabs on things, especially regarding his own universe. There are some strange anomalies surrounding the HOLY and LOST HOPE timelines, leading him to believe that something evil may be lurking beneath the depths. It’s only a matter of time before that thing bubbles to the surface and erupts, and Iret will not let it catch the best of him - even if he’s become a bit lethargic with the good stroke of luck he’s had with a Player-less game.
