a true wild child at heart, he is always on the move and doesn’t know how to slow down. 

he is incredibly sociable and friendly and loves talking to new people or making new friends. he could hold a conversation with anyone as long as they were still breathing

he has quite a carefree view of life, and so following the rules aren’t his biggest strong suit. he doesn’t break them to be a bad purpose or cause others pain/hurt, he either just forgets about them or doesn’t see the point in them. 

tate doesn’t remember anything much about his father; the man left them when tate was very young, under three years old, leaving his single mother to raise him. luckily she had a plethora of sisters and this much family support and tate quickly bloomed into a social butterfly. his mother would frequently leave him behind with his aunts and cousins until one day she just didn’t come back. searches were sent out but no one ever found out what happened to her. tate was only 16 and he left the only home he had ever known in an attempt to find his mother; he never did, and wound up getting so turned around he couldn’t find his way back. 

he came across a group of travelers who called themselves gypsies and became quick friends with them all, starting to travel alongside them and watching them perform their shows in new towns. it was at one such event that a group of men from a local bar attacked their group after one show: more than half of their friends lost their lives, but tate managed to escape while helping two of the women who were pregnant get away.
