Maybe she's literally an object. She's that globe that's been magically transformed into a person. And it remembers all the children who held them and swirled the globe around watching the glitter fall, all the grandma's houses while sitting on the fire place, all the teenager's rooms while sitting on their vanity, all the times she's switched hands, all the times peddlers have tried to sell her to the local crowd and all the long nights on the road, solitary... until you're not.
And maybe that peddler befell an unfortunate fate... and now she sits in a heap of rotting wood... waiting for someone to pick her up again.
