Personality:
+ Compassionate. She’s a very caring girl, sometimes a little too much.
+ Artistic. In her free time and to try and decrease her Grief levels, she enjoys painting of any kind.
- Suspicious and guarded. In light of a lot of the events that lead to her despairing, Vanessa's become a lot more guarded and on the defensive, it'll take a lot for her to learn to let her guard down again.
- Likewise, Vanessa's became a lot more aggressive in an attempt to protect her newfound family. This has led to some clashes amongst her peers.
- Has a hero complex. She feels like she has to shoulder everything and mother all the Magi’s which only lead to more fighting as the others felt she was either treating them not as equals or just being too stubborn.
Likes:
+ Painting. Something she was taught by her grandmother, she likes to unwind with watercolours and take out stress with buckets on a wall.
+ Shopping.
+ Ballet. Used to do it a lot but dropped it in favour of Magical Girl duties.
Dislikes:
- Fights. Despite how she was towards the end of her life, she did want to avoid them when she could. Even now she has a habit of just shutting down and letting someone yell at her, it's how she and Ana broke up.
- She can’t take criticism well and can sulk for hours if someone tries to pull her up on something.
- Witches. They freak her out.
Backstory: Vanessa Verlac is from a well-off family. Her father; Lucius Malcom Verlac is a famous fashion designer and owner of the brand Monarch, her mother is one of his top models Vanya Verlac. Both of Vanessa’s parents were rarely home growing up, both too busy with work or social events. Not to say that Vanessa was neglected as a child, but rather on a list of priorities Vanessa took a back seat to work and parties. Vanessa’s upbringing was taken care of by her maternal-grandmother; Padma Rao, who moved to Seaford to raise her granddaughter in her own daughter’s absence. Vanessa wasn’t lonely growing up, she had a number of friends but nobody she was really specifically close to growing up and would often prefer her grandmother’s company over her classmates.
She fell into a depression when her grandmother died in an accident. Suddenly very alone in her home, Vanessa felt suffocated by the silence and was very easy pickings for a Witch. Prepared to end it all under the Witch’s influence, Vanessa was saved by classmate and Magical Girl named Estelle who defeated the witch but lost her life in the process. Vanessa was horrified and was left in a state of panic until Flow arrived, Flow explained what had happened and that there are more witches out there, ready to target others. Vanessa, feeling guilty for Estelle’s death, decided to carry on in honour of Estelle’s noble sacrifice.
After a confession from Salem and Vondila about the truth of the Magical Girl System, Vanessa's become quieter and more withdrawn, lost in her own thoughts of melancholy and regret over her eventual fate. She's cut her hair as a means to reclaim control over her body. Belladonna's apperance causes Vanessa to side with the twins again, trusting them to protect the other Magi alongside her.
After a while, Vanessa and Ana started dating and Ana moved in shortly afterwards, Vanessa panicked worried that due to her perceiving a level of imbalance in the relationship (Her owning everything in their new home and not knowing Ana was going to be paid by Salem, being the sole breadwinner) mixed with her own low self-worth caused her to hold back on initiating affection with Ana, worried that she would be pressuring the girl. The stress of trying to take on Belladonna on her own and feeling like Percy had betrayed the group while Ana was siding with him caused the pair to break up, not long afterwards Vondila also sides with Percy and Vanessa leaves, it takes a few months before anyone realizes she's missing.

Aura Sphere – 1d6 (Special) – Cast on oneself or one party member, over 3 rounds you get the full health of the dmg dice each round.
Panacea – 1d4 (Magic) – Get rid of status effects from allies. The number of allies that can be healed is the dmg dice. Has a cool down of 3 rounds. If you are hit with a stun or sleep you cannot use this.
Glimmer – 1d4x1d4 (Magic) A flashy attack that gives damage of d4 times d4
Finale – 1d10 (special) a weaker form of Tiro Finale
Flurry Magic – 1d4x1d6 (Magic) – several short magical attacks done one after another. A d6 will be rolled to see how many attacks will happen, a d4 will be rolled once and the damage multipled by what was rolled on the 6.

My first OC for the group and me doing vent art for her was part of the reason Afterlife came into be, so sorry if some of the early stuff's kinda angsty or not-cannon compliant, I was going through some stuff when drawing it.
As a former witch Vanessa now has 4 extra arms, some more hight and a hole in her abdomen that doesn't seem to affect her aside from her already shattered self worth.
