Riff is a goblin wizard who lives with his papa, a human man named Hiram. He got ahold of a magic book and ever since then he has been doing his best to learn as much as he can!
DESIGN
- Riff has a tail with a big afro puff of hair at the end.
- He's missing one of his front teeth.
- Hat point can face either way but the patch will always be on his left.
- Bandaids are optional, but he's pretty scrappy so he's often got scraped knees.
- He has freckles on his cheeks.
- Hair is twists, can be drawn thicker or fluffier in a simplified form.
- His sclera are gold and his pupils are round.
TRIVIA
- Riff's hat was a gift from his Papa.
- He speaks with a Southern accent.
- Hiram doesn't know that Brambles, Riff's familiar, is magical. He thinks Riff is pranking him by saying she's magic.
- Riff isn't allowed to say curse words, but he does it pretty often just because he knows he shouldn't.
PERSONALITY
Riff if a rambunctious and precocious kid. He's incurably curious and nothing can stop him from getting to the bottom of whatever he's interested in today. He's enthusiastic and excitable and has a knack for getting into things he shouldn't. Riff also has a lot of separation anxiety from his father. He was abandoned as a child, and he's terrified of being left behind or abandoned. He always does his best to prove his worth to make sure others want him to stay around.

PAST
Riff was born to goblin parents, but was abandoned by them when he was very young. He wasn't able to keep up with their lives and they felt he was in their way and weighing them down. Hiram found Riff rummaging around in his trash and took him in. On a trip to a second hand shop, Riff found a book of spells. Hiram bought it for him, not thinking anything would come of it, and now he's the papa of a wizard in training!
PRESENT
Riff if focused on teaching himself magic. He travels with his papa, using his magic to help the two of them along the way. He's progressed greatly in his studies and is a competent wizard, especially for being so young. His penchant for fire and explosions make him a surprisingly formidable opponent in a fight!

Riff's adopted papa. Riff is attached to him at the hip, always tagging along wherever he goes. He looks up to his papa more than anyone else.
Riff's familiar. She's a mean, cranky, old lady who doesn't want to be bothered much, but for Riff she makes an exception.
Hiram's horse. She's patient with Riff, who might be a little too enthusiastic about riding sometimes.
Riff's newest pet. He found him at a festival and decided to bring him along on his adventures. He rides around in Riff's scarf, hat, or pockets.
