About

Berrypaw is a medicine cat apprentice in SkyClan (in the forest). He was previously a kittypet, but he joined SkyClan after Conetail saved his life.

Physical Description

Berrypaw is young tom with slightly curled brown medium fur. He has a round head, droopy ears and kind green eyes. His coloring varies from pale beige to dark warm brown. Although he is male, he's considered to have feminine behavior and beauty.

Berrypaw has a red bandana tied around his neck. His two-legs gave it to him before he joined SkyClan, and while some cats disapprove his choice to keep it, many have accepted it because Berrypaw uses it for carrying herbs.

Due to his young age and past as a kittypet, Berrypaw isn't very sturdy or physically strong. While he's been teached basics of self-defence, he prefers to avoid fights and settle things peacefully. His gentle and precise paws are excellent for treating injuries and cleaning wounds, and he's already known as one of the gentlest medicine cats despite him still being an apprentice.

Personality

Berrypaw is kind and gentle cat who never raises his voice. He has a feminine energy that allows others to approach him easily, and it's common for others to open up to him and seek comfort from his presence. While some may consider him soft and weak, many appreciate the calm, reassuring air around him. He's a reflective listener with never-ending patience and many cats tend to share their joys and sorrows with him. Sometimes it's far too easy to forget that he's still an apprentice.

While Berrypaw is willing to give other cats all of his time and energy, he tends to forget to take care of himself. He doesn't know how to say 'no' and it's extremely easy to take advantage of his kindness or use up all of his time. Every now and then, his mentor Conetail has to step in and tell other cats to leave him be. Berrypaw doesn't worry easily, but when he does, he doesn't know how to handle it and he bottles up his emotions, hoping they would go away. Conetail is actively teaching Berrypaw how to work out his emotions in a productive way, but the young cat has still a lot to learn about healthy selfishness.

As a medicine cat apprentice, Berrypaw is very gentle and patient. He makes sure to treat cats with the utmost care, and unless his mentor is ushering him to hurry, Berrypaw spends however much time it takes to treat every wound and scratch without causing any extra pain. This makes him a popular cat among those who are very sensitive to pain, and he's usually the one who removes thorns, cleans wounds and checks kittens' injuries.
