Xerzaephes (God)

They are the god/goddess/deity (all these terms are gender neutral in Syllion) of death, born within the domain of the afterlife. Because of this, Xerzae has the unique ability to draw the souls of the dead to their domain, and can gift their servants the ability to traverse between said domain and the material plane. In that plane, their power is a primary source for many fields of magic; they seem to particularly enjoy when people want to reverse or stave off death. Xerzae will grant these gifts eagerly, if for no other reason than to set up a price to pay later on.

They are a “trickster” god, interested primarily in causing chaos to see what interesting things will happen. Even their domain reflects this, being wildly bureaucratic yet lacking any organization beyond the random whims of the god themself, which change by the minute. Xerzae also loves to jump from one part of the astral plane to the next, just because they can, and is well-known by all its inhabitants as a result. This is a stark contrast to Reyne, their ‘other half’, who spends all his time isolated within his domain.
