Pierce is the son of a goblin king and an all-powerful goddess. His father was obsessed with his tracking down his mother when she left the family (shortly after giving birth), but tried his best to grow Pierce into a prince worthy of taking over the throne. Pierce felt the weight of these expectation and found himself shying away from it. Especially while living in a village built on renaissance-like values that were incredibly discriminatory and problematic. After running out on an overbearing royal responsibility, Pierce found his goddess mother within the forest. In that moment, she helped him discover the ability he could harness by jumping back and forth through time. He traveled throughout the expanse of time, but continuously finds himself preferring the modern world because of how much good he feels he can do there. But, there's no ignoring the fact that at another point in time, Pierce will have to take the throne of his small goblin village. Not to mention, he is constantly wondering why his mother is always so vague about his purpose in the grand scheme of things.
(TL;DR Goblin Prince travels to the future to avoid his dad)
