Eight

Eight is an octoling, and is also Agent 8. They lost a lot of their memories prior to the metro, and weren't able to get all of them back from mem cakes, but this doesn't bother them too much. She is curious and kind, and has the bravery to face dangerous situations without panic, but she sometimes struggles to understand others. They don't emote much and usually wear the skull mask to hide the lower half of their face.

She initially lived with Faye in the old cabin in Octo Valley after reaching the surface, but now lives with her teammates in Inkopolis. She still considers Faye her best friend, however, and treats her like an older sibling. Pearl and Marina are also like family to Eight, and she especially has a tendency to cling to Marina.

Eight can understand and write in the octarian language, but is incapable of speaking it. They use the octo shot when arriving on the surface, but after a few years start to use the Kensa Splattershot Pro as well. She is a very talented ink sports player and often reaches the Top 10 leaderboards for ranked.
