Azazel, sometimes called the Demon of the Forge, is renowned for teaching humanity the arts of warfare and blacksmithing. He's also sometimes credited with the creation of makeup, and in general blamed for giving women the idea to make themselves appear more physically beautiful so that it would be easier for them to pick up other men. I originally designed him to have a place in Vantaziel, my now-discontinued webcomic. In that setting, he starts off as a major antagonist, but eventually settles down when his sister, Vivian, marries the protagonist. Azazel is cocky, rude, and prone to picking fights. As the creator of warfare and a master smith, he's exceedingly dangerous and capable in combat, and most people who earn his ire don't live to speak about it.
Azazel's character got a reboot in an RP campaign called Bliss, which I run for two different people. In Bliss, Azazel still maintains Angel status rather than being a demon, but is currently contained in a prison called Dudael. In antediluvian times, Azazel amassed a group called the Watchers and lead a rebellion against God for forbidding them from contact with humans. Azazel and his watchers sired many children with humans; the resulting offspring are called nephilim(singular nephil). In retaliation for their disobedience, the Watchers were killed and Azazel was sentenced to imprisonment in Dudael for seventy generations. Bliss begins when a seraph is sent to execute Azazel, but Azazel bests them in combat and flees into the material plane.
