Cybertronians who've known Blindside for more than a day will tell you something is... off about him. He's perfectly nice, don't get me wrong -- great guy. But he's vague about his past, he won't tell you what he was built for, and his EM field has a funny texture to it. Cybetronians who've loved Blindside will say they regretted it -- he's afraid of commitment, he won't let you see his spark, and sometimes he goes places for long stretches of time with no explanation. There's a reason for that, of course, and it's that Blindside isn't Cybertronian at all. He's simply built to look like one, and it's something of which he's deeply ashamed. Everything about him -- from his plating to his parts to the software his brain module runs on -- is close enough to pass, but slightly off. Integrating into Cybertonian society is impossible, but he can exist somewhat comfortably on the fringes of it -- which is how he ends up spending most of his time in space ports, dive bars, and underground markets.

- He has tentacles. Why not? They protrude from plates underneath his pectorals
- He gets anxious during deep-space travel.
- He has never stayed in a single location longer than 3 months.
- Despite not having a set root mode, he's somewhat obsessive about how he looks and makes an effort to look polished (and desireable). This stems from a paranoia of being identified as an 'outsider'.
