started as a dnd character in a curse of strahd game but now theyre their own thing in an original setting thats like probably still mostly compliant with dnd but i also dont care if i break things

found unconscious in the middle of the ocean by a group of pirates, woke up with no memory of who they were. made up their name on the spot. traveled with the pirates for a few years before the ship was destroyed in a storm, killing the rest of the crew. "inherited" (is it really stealing if theyre dead?) the lightning necklace from one of them as he was sinking, causing a discharge of electricity when the grabbed it, giving them the scar on their arm and knocking them unconscious yet again. woke up at the bottom of a swamp in barovia with a wrecked ship, no crew to be found, and strange new magic abilities.

will update this later but long story short they got out & theyre doing pirate shit again
