"You're having fun, right? That's all I ask. Don't worry about me."
A member of the Star Caravan, Gravity has always been a bit of a mystery, even to those others in the caravan. Others see them walk by, with that soft smile and sleek grace, and they ask around, 'who is that?' But no one can ever really give an answer that doesn't just scratch the surface. 'That's Grav,' they say. 'They're pretty nice.' This is by design. Gravity, while often going out of their way to be sweet to others and to keep them comfortable and happy, has never gotten too close to anyone. They never talk about themself, deflecting those questions easily with a noncommital answer, a smile, and a shrug. It's often that they drop off the map, disappearing into the wild for weeks, months on end, never staying in a single one of the caravan's sites for very long. |
he's a lot like the stars
so far away, and at that distance, beautiful
but up close, they scorch
they burn
intensity.
it takes that distance to appreciate
the beauty of a star
but how does the star feel?
he is lonely
those closest to him are lightyears away
can a star be held?
'no,' he thinks.
