Childhood

Rosie, born Rosalyn Kaimana Kekoa, is the absolute baby of the family. She wan't planned, and she was born 10 years after the youngest brother. Raised on Ualapue, Moloka'i, in Hawai'i Both of her parents were busy, but where they didn't her brothers babied her and took care of her whenever they needed. Eventually, all of her brothers moved to different parts of the island and started their own lives, leaving Rosie to fend for herself in regards to her parents pressure. Even as a young child, she was under the impression that her parents never wanted her to begin with but their traditional values kept them from giving her up.

Adolescence

Surprisingly, Rosie started out as an introverted kid, keeping her head down and hoping people didn't pay a ton of attention. She actually got bullied for being so shy, the bullies pulling on her hair and calling her names. This led to her not socializing until the popular girls took interest in her and made her their new "project". (Wicked ripoff but ok) This allowed Rosie to get more comfortable with her feminine side and she gradually became more outgoing, having sleepovers and going to birthday parties of other girls her age. Since she was raised with a bunch of boys, she always wanted to fit in with them; leading to her neglecting the part of her she really adored. Around age 15, she came out as bisexual, much to her parents dismay. She dated a couple girls in her first two years of highschool but decided they would be better as friends, and to no ones surprise, her parents had a major influence on those decisions. In her junior year, she started dating a senior: the captain of the football team. He constantly berated her for "embarassing" her when she expressed her interests to other people. It was assumed that the two of them would be crowned homecoming king and queen, even though Rosie would've preferred to stay home with her friends. Luke, her boyfriend, forced her to take ballroom dancing classes so she wouldn't mess up and ruin his reputation. After that, they argued more, got into fights more often, and Rosie attempted to break up with him several times-- he always won her back by saying that he was sorry and he needed her for his scholarship. (That's not how that works. Whatever.) All of this just for her to find out he was taking another girl to prom, and she only found out when she arrived at the venue with her friends to see him kissing another girl. And thus began the laundry list of men who would take her kindness and optimistic, naive personality for granted and use it against her.

After that incident, Rosie tried to move on by going out with several other boys and girls, but none of them ever stuck. Until her childhood best friend confessed his feelings for her and they began dating late into her senior year. They made plans to attend the same college and dated for about a year, making Rosie a 19 when they moved into an apartment near the college campus. This didn't end well though, as one night she caught a peek at a new text message from a girl asking if he was "done with his boring girlfriend and coming over soon". Rosie confronted him about this and he confessed to cheating on her their entire relationship. Obviously she broke up with him, she moved out and back home shortly after, dropping out of college to avoid seeing him. Her parents were not thrilled with this development and pushed her to go back to college, but she relented, instead opting to get a part time job and also start streaming, hoping to save up enough money to move out to a nice place FAR away one day.

After Rosie turned 21 and got super popular as a streamer, she met a guy after going on several dates with other people during the two years she avoided serious relationships. They clicked really well and became a couple, and she stayed over at his place so often that he gave her a spare key and said to come over any time, even if he was at work. They were together for about 6 months and she had a feeling this might be the relationship she was looking for. He was a med student, her parents loved him, and she loved him too. But that all changed when she came over and found him in bed with another girl. This cemented in her mind that she wasn't deserving of love, and she moved into her own place shortly after, eager to get away from her parents who said he had just made a simple mistake. She devoted all of her time to streaming, and ignored every romantic gesture that came her way. In her mind, she was always the second option. So what was the point of looking for love when she didn't deserve it? The only love she needed was from her pet ferret, Plumeria, who had been with her through everything. He was getting on in age, but was still as active as when he was young.

Early Adulthood

After she got super popular, it was natural for Rosie to get "crazy" fans. Once, her apartment had been broken into, and another time she was stalked until she called the police and had a restraining order put out against him. She got a house in a secluded area because she was too paranoid to get an apartment again. While playing Reverie:Online, Rosie ran into Soren many times. Eventually they started talking outside of the game and became good friends. Literally everyone outside of those two could tell they had chemistry, but because of Rosie's closed off nature, she shut down any kind of flirty stuff; including Soren just being a good friend to her. They eventually met up after 6 months, when she invited them to her house in Hawai'i, insisting that it would be cheaper to stay with her. She actually went the extra step to change the theme of her guest room, changing it from all pink to a nice beige color, similar to what you would expect from a B&B. She was a little sad to put away the strawberry duvet but more than anything she wanted him to be comfortable. (She also had to buy actual pajamas for herself but who cares about that). After they hugged for the first time, she felt different about the whole relationship. They went out and did a ton of things together, but Rosie never considered them dates, even if Soren did. She shut down any advances, and then apologized, saying she was just nervous about meeting someone.

After Soren left, they continued being friends for another 6 months before Soren confessed, and Rosie got nervous and didn't answer... instead she waited until she knew they were at work and called them, leaving a voicemail about how she felt the same. A little bit after they started dating long distance, Rosie made the choice to move to Canada, even though she's awful at handling the cold. They've been together since, even though she's stupidly paranoid and has to call them when she walks home from places. She met Billie, Xanthe, and Mika when she first moved there, and they became best friends; Cirice and Ayira joining the club later on.

Plumeria unfortunately passed away a about a year after they moved to Canada, around the age of 13. He was gifted to Rosie when he was around 1, and she was about 10 at the time. He only lived so long because of how much Rosie babied him to keep him very healthy and happy. Originally, he HATED Soren, and scratched and bit him whenever he would try and kiss or hug Rosie while he was in the same room. He did eventually warm up to him and took to napping on his lap when he was streaming or working on something else. Rosie was extremely depressed after his death, and her friends had to essentially drag her out places. Eventually she was able to clean out his room and move forward, donating the ferret supplies she had accumulated to shelters. She kept all of the hats she got him and the ones her viewers sent her, and she has plans to get his pawprint tattooed somewhere in the near future.

Current Day
