Socks is seen by most as a calm, quiet, and grumpy sphynx cat.
They are a 5'5'' blue sphynx cat who almost exclusively wears black. They like to spend time alone doing things they enjoy such as reading, writing, or just having a quiet evening with some tea. They own and operate their own cafe in which they spend a lot of their time, and even met their partner Skylar and closest friend Copper there. While they are very solitary in nature, they love spending time with Skylar doing nothing in particular.
Socks lives with Skylar in a small one bedroom apartment nearby Socks' cafe. Some may find themselves cramped in such a small space by themselves, let alone living with a partner, but Socks (and Skylar, too) find it to be cozy and enough for them spacewise.
Socks never found themelves too fond of video games until they met their partner. Skylar is very interested in many kinds of games, mostly FPS. They introduced Socks to games such as Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing, and now Socks finds themselves playing them to wind down some days. While they enjoy different kinds of games, Socks and Skylar enjoy playing non competitive games together.
Story
Socks, before having started up their cafe buisness, always found themselves most comfortable at small coffee shops or otherwise quiet places with warm atmospheres. They used to go to a small cafe in the city they live in when they were freshly 18, and went there almost everyday. However, the place was small and locally owned, so when it didn't get a lot of buisness, it inevitablly closed down. This devasted Socks; that was their favorite place to go! So when they saw the ad for the cafes old storefront, they decided to open their own cafe to run there instead.

When Socks had been running the shop for a few months, they met their first regular and one of their closest friends, Copper. Copper came in one day during a downpour, greeting Socks and making smalltalk. They came back almost every day after that, and the two became closer. About 6 months after that was the first time Skylar showed up, leaving Socks enamoured with xem. Copper eventually pushed Socks enough to talk to xem, and they got together not too long afterwards. Copper still counts themself as their matchmaker.
Skylar
Partner
Skylar and Socks met in the cafe that Socks owns. Socks wasn't sure when they started to fall for xem, but it wasn't too long after having met xem. They enjoy being in eachothers presence even when they aren't speaking or doing something. A lot of their down time is spent together on their couch cuddled under blankets, each reading a book or doing something similar and just enjoying basking in the others presence.
Copper
Friend
Socks first met Copper on a slow, rainy day at the shop. Copper came in to order, striking up a conversation with Socks that lasted a lot longer than it felt. Once Copper had drank their drink and ate their biscuit, they bid Socks goodbye, deciding they would come back there. They've been a regular ever since!
Comet
Cousin
Socks and Comet are cousins by blood on Socks' mothers side. They were very close as children, having been close neighbors in the same suburbs. Comet came out as trans to Socks when he was 12, and Socks came out as non-binary to Comet when they were 14. They grew even closer until Comet turned 18, when they decided to get away and start his own life, away from the town and his parents. Comet and Socks stay in touch as best they can, but sometimes it's difficult. They still consider eachother their closest family and care for eachother though.
