Fidelity's talkative nature can often get the better of her. She's eager to share her knowledge and desperate to connect with others, something she's struggled with throughout her life. Fidelity is well educated and quick witted. She always has her nose in a book, whether it's reading or writing. She has a great memory for facts and information, and is always looking for a chance to share what she knows.
excitable
Fidelity is nothing if not just happy to be on an adventure. She's intensely curious and that always seems to bubble over into every bit of her body language and demeanor. She's eager to see and do all that she can.
brave
Fidelity is committed to being an adventurer, and is willing to face whatever dangers come her way head on. She's so eager to put herself out there and see more of the world, whatever that may bring, and she's a bit of a thrill seeker when she realizes there's a chance for adventure.

Summary
Childhood
Fidelity had a relatively normal upbringing— the younger of two children (an older brother, Valrakas, called Reverence, a priest) with married parents (Aramine and Dharus) from an upper-middle class neighborhood in New Dorran. She always loved reading and hearing stories of adventurers, especially from her great aunt, (her mother’s aunt, Vellista Asran, a wizard), who was an adventurer herself. She dreamed of one day setting out to see the world too, but her parents disapproved of the danger she'd face, especially considering that their daughter was rather uncoordinated and unathletic. So Fidelity committed herself to her studies of history, magic, and music instead, but always yearned for adventure. She studied the violin from a young age and eventually joined the bardic College of Lore.
Becoming an adventurer
Fidelity's passion has always been writing and research, but her work was never widely published. She worked as a librarian and wrote on the side, though she didn't have much success. Eventually she was sure she’d found her in, working as a ghostwriter for famed adventurer Goddart Rouskridge (human fighter). It didn’t take long for her to realize he was arrogant and controlling, and soon she was no longer permitted to publish her writing under her own name. The memoirs she wrote for him became quite successful but she didn’t reap much benefit from her work. His fame continued to grow and she was still in her small apartment with just her and her cat Clio, overworked and underpaid by her boss and banned from publishing any work as Fidelity Ervonvilt. She began publishing her own work under the pen name Lucretia Quillbright. She wasn’t wildly successful but was able to publish a couple of books. She’d been working for Rouskridge for several years when he died on one of his quests, and she was officially out of a job but also officially free of her contract. With that, she finally felt she would be able to prove herself and become an adventurer like her great aunt and publish her adventures under her own name. She hired Fenlan as a guide and bodyguard because she’d never been outside of New Dorran and set out on her first adventure.
Fenlan Osiris
[ Best Friend ]
Fenlan started as Fidelity's bodyguard, but quickly became her best friend. He's incredibly quiet and reserved, a direct opposite of her loud and boisterous demeanor. She knows he doesn't like speaking to others, so she sometimes takes it upon herself to be his voice. She trusts Fenlan implicitly and values his opinion above all others. He was the first one to truly listen to her since the passing of her great aunt and to make her feel like what she said and felt mattered. He believed in her abilities when no one else would, which helped her to to become a stronger and more powerful bard.
Vellista Asran
[ Great Aunt ]
Vellista was Fidelity's maternal great aunt and the one who helped her choose her virtue name and introduced her to magic. A wizard and former adventurer, Vellista was one of Fidelity's greatest inspirations. While her parents didn't encourage her to become a writer and especially not an adventurer, Vellista was her biggest supporter until her death. Without her great aunt, Fidelity may never have pursued magic.
Goddart Rouskridge
[ Former Boss ]
Before Fidelity became an adventurer, she was a librarian who was attempting to get her name out as a writer. Rouskridge stumbled upon her work and took advantage of her eagerness to make it big as a writer and an adventurer. She agreed to only be able to write for him and under his name until the end of his adventuring days, at which time she would be dismissed from her contract. She was also kept in a non-disclosure agreement, swearing her to secrecy on her involvement in his books. She hated working for him because he never kept his promise to take her with him and hated not being able to write for herself anymore. She was, however, freed from her contract by his untimely death at the hands (and teeth) of a dragon.
