"A simple life is a happy life!"

Childhood

Born on September 4th in 1965, Eden was born to two wealthy (and strict) parents in a small town located inside of Ontario, Canada. Eden was raised as a young male with incredible manners, intelligence, and heart. They were the best in their studies amongst their peers and in the top ten best in each of their accelerated classes. Even though Eden was gifted with this incredible brain, their parents applied a lot of unnecissary pressure on them to do nothing but over achieve and nothing less. In primary school, Eden was very quiet and didn't have many friends, that is, until he met a girl named Beth. She was in his class and they frequently spent long amounts of time together. Whenever the two hung out, it would always be in secret because Eden's parents had a mindset that "friends were major distractions to one's work". They made codenames for each other as an inside joke and as a sign of their friendship, Beth's was "Splash" and Eden's was "Eddie". Beth's parents worked at family resturant called "Sabrina's Flapjacks", which was considered a brunch diner that had fun activities for kids such as musical performances from animatronics and games. The two would go there almost every afternoon after school to play and hang out together. That is until the resturant burned down. One of the animatronics had a wire mysteriously cut from the inside which caused it to malfunction during open hours. The wire was sparking as the animatronic started going out of control until it eventually caught the whole machine to catch on fire. Since these animatronics were bolted down to the stage's floor, the fire quickly spread across each individual animatronic, the stage and its curtains, nearby tables and their extremely flammable tablecloths, followed by the whole building shortly after. There were about 80 guests inside during the fire, and unfortunately, 23 people did not make it out. When the fire department arrived, Eden was lost in the kerfuffle of worried guests and in a desperate to find Beth or her parents. As the fire completely died down and firefighters were rushing in to find any survivors or corpses, a paramedic grabbed Eden and sent them into an ambulence. As they were being sent away to the town's hospital, they realized they had a large burn wound on their right forearm that only then began to sting. After being treated for their wound, Eden's parents arrived to see if their child was harmed any further than the previous burn already treated. Eden proceeded to ask the doctors and their parents knew if Beth was okay, only getting responses such as "It's not certain" and "It's unclear right now" in return. A day later they would find out Beth was burned alive inside of that resturant, ashes and all. Ever since then, Eden always referred to themselves as Eddie as a tribute to their deceased best friend. While Eden was still young, they met lots of people in primary school, which included some of their best friends, new enemies, and a girl who was completely in love with them. That girl was someone by the name of Mary, who went by Maria as a nickname. She fawned over them all the time, and it pushed passed just a simple kid crush. She was genuinely in love with them - as much as an elementary student could be, that is. Eden was constantly frightened by her intense acts of "compassion" and always ran away from her or shunned her. This cycle continued all throughout high school.

Teen & Adulthood

During their freshman school year, there was a foreign exchange student introduced into their class. The new student was a very tall and brooding young man with long, royal blue hair. This student was introduced as Rudolf, he was from Norway and would be studying in Canada until he graduated college in horticultural science. Eden found him really attractive they were already discovering themselves as bisexual and gender neutral at this time - and instantly became fixated on him. Eden was assigned to be his partner for the rest of the remaining schoolyear, to teach him everything about the rules and regulations inside of the school and to show him around to which classes he would be learning in each day. The two shared a lot of classes, so Rudolf attatched to him for help with locations, assignments, and English (since Rudolf is an ESL student). Eden happily helped him since they were so used to helping others and naturally a very caring and helpful person. They were considered best friends amongst their classmates, but Eden could never bring themselves to call Rudolf their best friend, that spot would always be reserved for Beth; their sweet, sweet Beth. In the two's junior year, there was a party at one of their classmate's houses that they both decided to attend. During all of the partying, Rudolf tucked Eden away from the distracting disco lights out into the classmate's backyard, announcing that he had feelings for Eden. Shocked and flattered, they confessed they also felt the same. Rudolf and Eden's parents were both extremely strict and traditional, so coming out to everyone was a huge no for the tine being. After graduating their senior year in 1983, the two found an apartment to share nearby Eden's home and they both enrolled for college a few months afterwards - Rudolf starting in a community college and Eden heading straight for a high-achieving university. While Eden was still in school, Rudolf took his Christmas break from school to visit his family members that were still in Norway, but that one week break turned into two months of being missing-in-action. When Rudolf returned, he came back with a little toddler with vibrant lilac hair. Rudolf explained the baby was an orphan and needed a home, to which Eden happily agreed. They named the baby Kasper, and he spent the next five years with his two loving parents. When Rudolf finished community college, he proposed to Eden, and of course, Eden accepted gladly. They were a happy family for a majority of Kasper's early childhood, and when Eden finally finished university, they all settled down in a house near Eden's old home. It didn't stay like this for long however. It started with a few disagreements, but then it turned into constant fights. Rudolf needed time away from Eden and left for Norway once again instead of trying to fix any of his relationship problems with Eden. He never came back. Eden was now left all alone with a seven year old Kasper, heartbroken and miserable. Eden was unable to comprehend Rudolf's sudden leave. They turned to overtime at work to cope, making it close to impossible to be home, which left Kasper to feel neglected. Eden knew they couldn't let this unhealthy cycle continue any longer for their son's sake, but wasn't very sure what to do. That is, until they reconnected with an old classmate. It was Maria Kanis, that girl who used to be head-over-heels for Eden back in their school years. Maria was able to comfort Eden through their hard times with a broken heart, and within weeks, an old friendship was rekindling. Maria confessed her childhood (and current) feelings towards them, which Eden, surprisingly, returned similar feelings back - it's unclear whether this was another spark of falling in love or just Eden being in an unstable emotional state at the time, but whichever it was, it turned intio true, genuine love in the end. The two got married a year after confessing to one another and they had a girl named Zara, who was concieved during the couple's honeymoon.

Current

Eden and their wife are doing just fine, though during one of their recent lab expereiments, Eden completely burned off their entire right hand. Due to the previous burn they recieved when they were in that fire accident all those years ago, from the wrist to the elbow needed to be amputated. From that accident onward, Eden sports a prosthetic arm that connects to where their elbow should be. They feel that someone might have mixed up their chemicals in secret, but they are not one to assume ill-mannered acts on others, so they tell themselves it was only a mixup. Maria has a tendancy to demand and gain controll, but she always apologizes whenever these uncontrolled outbursts end up happening. Eden knows she can't always control them, and refuses to let them get in the way of the love Eden has for her.
