Zagros

Family

• Zagros is the middle-ish child, his older brother Garrin is 29, he's 21, his younger brother Hamrin is 15, and youngest sibling/sister ??? is 13. Still trying to figure out the sister's name.
  • Naming scheme = geography in Iran/Iraq/Turkey area. 
• His parents has lived in his house for generations, passed down on his mom's side. His dad is a fisherman, while mom stays home to help with handling the fish/corralling the kiddos. They both have some ability to control water, though their parents were mixed with different elements. His dad's side has his grandpa being a zipzap while his grandma was another water nerd, while on his mom's side his grandpa was a water nerd and his grandma was a ????.
  • His parents are also very accepting of having their kids bring their friends around, to the point that their door is always open for the friends to just randomly come over if they need a space to sit out at.
  • They'd probably ask the first time if everything is alright, and if the kiddo just needs time and space they respect that!
  • Zagros's mom will cook for the kiddos no matter what meal, though expect fish to be a main part of dinner. 
• Garrin is a water nerd, the younger two haven't grown into their abilities yet. Zagros probably grew into his around 17 or so. His parents are terrified he may need to work in a power plant, as his paternal grandpa did and it wrecked him. Also afraid he may work some other real shit electrical job.
• Garrin stuff:
  • Works at the Academy, probably as an adjunct trying to get a tenure. 
  • Best bros with an especially skilled smith named Smudge. They grew up together and Smudge is basically adopted into the Zagros family at this point. They hang out weekly doing this world's version of dungeons and dragons, and often drags Zagros into the games. Also has Zagros paint the mini's Smudge makes.
  • Got Zagros his roboarm through a life of payments to Smudge, though Zagros doesn't know.
  • Got Zagros started on caring for fish.
  • Cares about the dweeb a ton, always looks out for all his siblings but worries about Zagros the most to the point of "hiring" him to do dumb errands for him around the Academy.
• Hamrin stuff:
  • Going through a super moody phase.
  • Writes letters to his online friends a lot about how much life sucks and all that dumb shit.
  • Is so moody he plays emo songs on the ukulele.
  • Is probably seen the least out of the siblings, not including Garrin since Garrin doesn't live in the Zagros house anymore. Just hides out in his room a lot.
  • Doesn't really bring his friends around but when he does it's usually when one of the others have their friends around too because Ham is bad at planning.
  • He hates the nickname Ham but everyone uses it.
• ??? stuff:
  • SHE NEEDS A NAME
  • Troublemaker to the bone, but does it in good spirit. 
  • Voted most likely to yeet Prince if she could.
  • Is probably more social than Zagros, has her friends over just as much if not more than Zagros, will often initiate the turf wars for the living room.
• House stuff:
  • A pretty cramped beach house that is super clear it's been renovated on the inside too many times.
  • Two stories, right on the beach. Step off the back porch and you're in sand.
  • Exactly 1 console is located in the living room, which is why the turf wars happen.
  • Zagros has his own tv, but no computer. There's 1 family computer, and Ham has his own too. ??? Doesn't care enough to have her own electronics she's always GONE.

Personality/Random notes

• Basically a beach bum
• Super friendly and extremely chill
• Low speed on most things and will be passive for most stuff
• Is generally late to a lot of stuff, though not by much (10/15 minutes max kind of late)
• He is still getting used to his electromancy powers, and will often spark up when scared/nervous without being able to control it.
  • He does have the ability to basically emit a quick jolt, nothing that can cause actual harm to adults, just enough to be a warning zap if anything.
• He was super into surfing all through middle/high school, but had an accident surfing once around the age of 17/18, leading to a shark attack and a loss of his right arm. 
  • His electrical powers was a fascination to Smudge when combined with his metal work, so part of the payment for the arm is spontaneous experiments.
  • Ended up failing a year of high school cause of it, and then failed another year just because he had a rough time getting back into the swing of things. Finally passed his senior year on the third try.
  • He's now super nervous when sharks are mentioned or if he has to go out into water higher than about knee height on him. Won't go out on boats or anything to where he can't immediately be back on dry land immediately.
  • He's also super nervous about talking about the arm, and feels extremely self-conscious about it. Will generally not do things like wave/carry/other stuff that may draw attention to it with it. 
• He was going to make a career out of surfing if he could, but since he's not terrified of touching open water he has no idea what to do with his life and just floats around to different things.
• Dyslexic, though he got help while in school and can mostly deal with it. Autocorrect also helps, but it makes him not want to read books.
• Went from surfing to skateboarding, has a collection of skateboards he custom painted/built in different styles.
  • His favorite is a standard deck with cool purple patterns.
    • His favorite color is purple!
  • His second favorite is a penny board that looks like his favorite surfboard because he can zoom.
• Has an aquarium in his room of a bunch of different colorful fish he takes care of.
• Likes his personal space a lot, especially around the roboarm. If someone gets in it and won't leave expect Zagros to shock them gently until they do leave.
• Would much rather be outside instead of watching things/playing games, but he does have a large space in his heart set aside for Tetris. 
  • He's that kind of nerd who would slowly roll around on a skateboard while playing Tetris, and pretty much will always have the game on him, playing it whenever he gets a few minutes of free time.
  • Broke some bones as a kid running around, but since his surfing accident he's been much more careful. Still has wiped on some skateboard tricks though, usually only resulting in a road-rash style injury at worst.
• Hates phone calls like any other person his age, but is bad at texting. His smart phone does have a crack in the screen, but has no interest in replacing/fixing it yet.

• Has a friend group with Cheri, Epsi, Ilari, and Roseli. Got adopted into the Cheri/Epsi/Roseli group a while ago.
• Prince just kind of happened on the beach one day not looking too well, so Zagros brought her back to the house to get her looked at. She then stayed and appointed him her land advisor. His entire family doesn't believe her about the prince thing but humors her out of pity.
  • Hates having her around because she's loud and obnoxious and ruins things for him. Feels bad for her though, and just kind of plays along hoping she grows out of her "imaginary prince thing" she does.
  • Often will try to leave her behind while skateboarding around.
  • His siblings also take turns babysitting her when he needs a break.
• Probably doesn't have a best friend, but enjoys the company of all of his friends in whatever way they hang out.
• Probably is friends with some other nerds from whatever skatepark he goes to. Admires cool tricks they do.
