Concept:

Halla is a firbolg monk who is reluctantly adventuring as part of a pilgrimage: she wants to raise a child with her wife Seyna, but the village elders will not approve an adoption, surrogacy, or standard birth until one member completes a coming-of-age quest. Left with little other choice, Halla departed to find the cause behind the hex sickening her wife’s herds.

Her monk training began when she found an elven monastery within a week of travel—there, the elves humored her request for information, gave her a name, and schooled her in hand-to-hand combat while she sought answers in their library.
