Arledge

Reincarnation isn't real, except for this kid. Has attracted a small following of exuberant historians fascinated by their manifestation through history and touched by how unbelievably bleak said history has been. They don't actually remember being those people, though, and in a way, perhaps never were.

Inadvertently escaped captivity as the World's Saddest Supernatural Historical Attraction and ended up in the hands of a regular person, who, quite regularly, opted to just raise them like a normal child. 

Has problems expressing emotion or desires, theorized to be a side-effect of being reborn. They're doll-like in more than appearance. It's only through examination of their past lives that it's possible to tell their gender expression is intentionally neutral. Without that context, Arledge is...approximately a girl... girl-like...?

Really likes oranges and the rain, in that these two things are the only thing they bother to seek out.
