Aqil is an air demon, a rare male siren. He is an acting General in the Kou Sect, and has a nasty, sadistic personality.
Demons were created before the galaxies were even properly formed, originally Angels in the courts of Heaven. Aqil is centuries old, and frankly immortal. He enjoys tempting death simply because he can't die.
