Andy is cursed with the escaped eldritch beings of an ever-burning collapsed coal mine. He often sees floating corpses in the sky and tends to cough up what can only be black blood. He has terrible night terrors where he surrounded by a writhing mass of tentacles that whisper to him the secrets of the forests, of Appalachia and it's undergrowth. He's codependent on his partner Joseph Dunsany who experiences a similar eldritch curse.
