A young dragonet adopted by Tulip, a three-legged Rainwing healer.

He finds an interest in insects and plants, learning all these new names for these creatures such crickets and katydids, butterflies and moths. A young and gentle dragonet that feels unsafe around most adults. When around those he trusts he is rather excitable and joyful, always excited to share anything new he finds.

Zephyr was left behind as an egg, hidden by his mother after having an affair with a Mudwing. He was the only dragonet from this affair, hatching alone in the Skywing kingdom. Shortly after hatching he wandered from the spot his egg was hidden, coming across a field of white Zephyr flowers. Soon later Zephyr was found by a patrol of Skywing soldiers, who searched for a mother to the dragonet with no luck, only finding the egg he hatched from. He was brought to the nursery as an orphan, and a rather odd looking dragonet, being a Mudwing Skywing hybrid. He was given the name Zephyr, symbolizing the field of Zephyr flowers he was found in.

Once he was 2 years old the dragonet had been sent back to the nursery for the second time. Both families that adopted him wanted him for the pity story of adopting the hybrid orphan. He felt unloved, and unsafe, making it difficult for any adoptive parents. 

After some time staying with the other dragonets in care, watching as they got accepted into families, a Rainwing named Tulip came to the nursery to teach the caretakers about herbs and medical treatment incase the dragonets at the nursery were to get injured. Zephyr took interest in what she was talking about with all these odd smelling plants and stayed near. Tulip took notice to him and showed him some of the herbs and had him smell each one. They talked for a bit and Zephyr asked about what the rainforest was like, why her leg was missing, and most of all what kind of insects she got to see in her travels. He found he trusted this dragon and loved being able to talk to her. 

As Tulip finished teaching, she began packing her things and talking to the caretakers. Within a few moments one of the caretakers, a Mudwing Icewing hybrid named Nutria came over to Zephyr, with the offer of going with Tulip. Hearing the news Zephyr nodded with joy, he felt like he could trust this Rainwing, and he wanted to stay with her, and explore Pyrrhia with her!
