Thomas

Thomas is a calico Norwegian Forest cat. He has vibrant green eyes with slit pupils. His super fluffy and slightly curly fur is white with black and orange splotches, with two stripes from each of his eyes. The markings have a bit of darker striping within them, similar to brindling but thicker. He is missing his left arm below the elbow.

Due to being genetically engineered, Thomas appears to be an impossible mix of genetics and is likely to live past expected average lifespans. He is also sterile, as a result.
All genetically engineered animals come out sterile, and the company still hasn't figured out a solution.

Thomas has a robotic left arm that he personally built and customized to help in his work. The arm is black and dark grey in color with faint gold accents and a small touch screen. It's made of a flexible unknown material for the joints, but the base is metallic and sturdy.

It has small tools built in along with a magnet and stabilizer feature to prevent shaking. The claws are fully retractable. It is waterproof and rust-resistant, but it's not entirely immune to damage.

No, he definitely doesn't have a chainsaw or rocketlauncher built in there. That'd be ridiculous.

Thomas does not have any powers or special abilities himself, but his robotic arm does come with some unique features. He can taser and stun people with a single touch.

Thomas is arrogant and downright cocky. As an extremely skilled robotics engineer, he loves to flaunt his skill and has a lot of confidence in his skills. He claims that, with enough resources and time, he can do anything.

As one of the best engineers in the company, Thomas feels that he's the superior (well, he is, actually) and constantly takes control of everything. Projects? He's in charge. People? He's in charge. When it comes to robotics, all projects involved within or under his line of work is done under his supervision. He's incredibly bossy and not very well-liked. People only tolerate him for his knowledge and skills.

He might be insufferable at times, but many would agree that he's the most dedicated to his work. He's scarily good at what he does, and people don't dare interrupt him while he's in "the zone." He'll spend days in his workspace to make sure things are done on time.
But he'll often forget to eat while doing so. Food gets delivered to his room so that he doesn't starve.

Thomas is always envious of those who can have children, as he is unable to have any of his own. Instead, he considers all of his robots his children and treats them like he would his own blood. He likes to give them upgrades or new parts as rewards for a job well-done. All of his robot children have a place or even a full room in the company building.
He'd treat Nabla as a beloved daughter as well, if she didn't reject him off the bat and constantly sass him. She's more of the rebellious teen that he occasionally scolds and lets loose.
Never, ever ask him to take apart or destroy any of his robotic children. He'll be very, very upset. He refuses to hurt his kids!

Every morning, Thomas spends a bit of time in the mirror ensuring that he looks his best today. He believes that keeping up good appearances is important. He's never seen with messy fur and always carries around a comb. (In the case that he forgot to, his robotic arm has a back-up comb feature.)

When he's nervous, Thomas tends to fiddle with his robotic arm and drums his metallic fingers across surfaces when deep in thought. Most of the time, he's not aware he's even doing it, until someone points it out.

Thomas doesn't exactly have a healthy diet, since he misses out on a lot of meals. He survives on takeout food at work and never has time to cook for himself. Once in a while, he has a good meal, but that's because his robotic children are learning how to cook to help their dad.

It's never explained why he has a robotic arm - he doesn't like talking about it - but whatever happened was long before he started working as a robotics engineer.
When he sleeps, he takes it off, since it's uncomfortable to sleep with. He doesn't like doing self-repairs and avoids damaging his arm needlessly.

Thomas currently resides in Chromeill and works under the biggest, most influential company. He is the head of the robotics engineering department and in control of all things robotic, including Delta. (When she listens, that is.)

Thomas was not born of normal means. He was one of the earliest genetic engineering projects - and one of the only successful ones so far. He was given the last name "Videl", after the scientist who created him - Dr. Harvel Videl, the former head of the company.

Dr. Videl, his "father", has long since passed, and the company has been put in the name of another person. Thomas didn't want to pick up his research and went into robotics instead. There are others who continue the doctor's research to this day, and Thomas could care less. He decided to remain in the company, though. It was the only home he knew.

Years later, Thomas would be involved in a major project to develop an AI weapon for the company. Under the company, he went by the alias "Vice", and he ended up with his very first partner, "Lynx," whose real name was "Grey." Together, they worked for a few years on new tech for the company - to help better the lives of citizens.

Eventually, the company tasked them to develop a hybrid AI capable of operating on both the virtual and physical platforms. It was the start of project "Delta." Thomas helped build the body, and Lynx created the mind. The project resulted in a computer AI x virus hybrid that they personally named "Nabla," while her project name was used for the public.

After Delta's first test run, Thomas and Grey witnessed her destructive power and came to a realization to what they had done. Thomas was thrilled their project was a success, but Grey had felt otherwise. When Grey showed up the next day with his letter of resignation, Thomas, and even Delta, attempted to get him to stay - with no success.

Grey's resignation from the company ended in a massive falling out between the two former partners. Thomas lost a friend and was put in charge of the entire Delta project afterwards, leaving him bitter.

Nowadays, Thomas works on basic and personal projects for the company. His main goal is to keep upgrading and maintaining Delta. Though, lately, his interest has turned to the City of Luminea, Chromeill's rival.
