Polaris Estrada was born in Panama, between the two continents of North and South America. She and her family moved up to Arizona when she was 5. 

Her childhood was luxurious, as her parents were rich and kept her entertained by many gifts. Polaris became interested in makeup at an early age of 8, and was able to apply a full face of it in under 3 minutes at the age of 9; she doesn't believe in the powers of concealer and foundation, as she says they choke up your pores and hide your natural gleam.

The household consists of her father, her grandmother, and her pure-bred Fjord horse Phillip.

Polaris's father spent most of his hours of the week doing his work, but occasionally played a couple rounds of 'tea party' with her. Her grandmother played the part of 'mother' and never spoke much about Polar's biological parent.

At the late age of 17, Polaris encountered an unknown monster while on a ride with Phillip. She evaded being killed, but her grandmother promptly sent her to Camp Half Blood, where she spends her summers. She's very insecure about her relationship with her father at home, and guards that secret by acting above everyone else.
