Backstory |
| Warren's parents were heavy drug users who didn't stop their habit even during the pregnancy resulting in Warren being literally born an addict. This got him taken away by cps but unfortunately it's hard af to place cryptids, especially werewolves who have a very bad rap in society and with this as well as the ceaseless push for familial reunification Warren was eventually returned to the care of his parents. While his cps case was left open, he was forgotten. He grew up being used and abused by his parents and their friends, he went straight back to drug use along with his parents and never had a childhood, never went to school etc. At around 10 his parent brought home a new friend who took pity on the child, or perhaps just saw an easy target. Nought then often spent time with Warren, fuelling his hatred for his parents and home life until the moment he would live to regret "do you want them to die?" "yes." Nought convinced Warren to deliver the finishing blow to his own parents, then the two of them left. This act became Noughts bargaining chip. Nought took Warren away but rather then give him a new better life, Warren was just now used and abused by Nought instead. He became dependant on him and his endless supply of drugs, he despised having his wolf form used in noughts murderous schemes but he was trapped, in too deep and unable to swim. - - - It wasn't unusual for Warren to leave Nought for periods of time, or Nought to disappear only to come back any amount of time later. During one of these times of seperation, Warren found himself in Cirque Requiem. Ivertii saw a cryptid in need and welcomed him into his little family. Warren had a lot of personal struggles and tried to stay emotionally distant from the group but he helped out when asked regardless. In his time there despise his attempts to stay distant, he had a little soft spot for Angel, who was just a young child at the time. Angel became like a younger brother to him, always following him around and bugging him etc. When Nought summoned again, Warren really hesitated for the first time, but of course he knew what Nought was capable of and left. - - - Then came the fateful night. The fight that would almost end his life but regrettably he lived. Now he was finally free from Nought, who believed him to be dead, but rather then being able to start life anew, he was once again in the clutches of more powerful people. The cryptid control slowly weaned him off the street drugs he'd been addicted to and onto the legal variety to control his werewolf impulses though still he reluctantly became their soldier now, used alongside Taxi and Richard to hunt down Nought. While he started this venture uncooperative he built a friendship, perhaps more, with Taxi. He has little hope for their small team being able to find let alone take out Nought, but for the time being he goes along with it, having no real ambitions or goals in life otherwise. |
