S T O R Y
The child was abandoned by its parents at a very young age. Confused and scared, it wandered the streets until it saw something familiar. Its family had watched the Apex Games regularly, and the child recognised the hunter from the footage of the events. Being young, it drew the conclusion that if it followed them for long enough, they would eventually lead it back home. For days, this continued, the child following a safe distance from the hunter as it feared their frustration. When the sun would start to set, it would hurry back to the only thing that it had left - the cardboard box its family had abandoned it in. After a while, the hunter followed it back. They had noticed every time the child had followed them, and were curious as to why. Upon seeing the situation the child was in, they knew they could not allow it to continue in this state, and offered to find it somewhere to stay. The child agreed shyly, and Bloodhound brought it home to keep it warm while they planned out what to do next.
Over the two weeks following finding the child, Bloodhound attempted to pass it off to the other, more parental legends, like Horizon and Gibraltar. These attempts were unsuccessful for a variety of reasons, and the child continued to stay with Bloodhound as they cared for it. Eventually, Crypto caught wind of Bloodhound's struggles, and paid the hunter a visit. He offered to contact an orphanage owner he was familiar with, so that it'd have somewhere safe to stay and Bloodhound would not have to take care of it any longer. Bloodhound hesitated. They'd finally been presented with a chance to rehome the child after weeks of attempts, but... they realised they'd grown attached to it. It was nice to have regular company that wasn't feathered, and they cared for the child immensely. After some thought, they turned down Crypto's offer, taking the responsibility of raising the child on themself, and decided to name the child Fiske.
Fiske grew up surrounded by legends, loving and respecting Bloodhound and referring to them as its parent. It was happy with its life with the legends, though as it grew into a teenager, it began to grow frustrated with how childishly it was treated. Finally, one night when it was 15 years old, this culminated in an argument with Bloodhound that led it to run out of the dorms, furious and determined to prove itself. It stole Raven's Bite and sought out Revenant, thinking that if it could find him, if it could beat the simulacrum in a fight, Bloodhound would have to see it as more than just a child. When it found Revenant, the confrontation did not go as it expected. The simulacrum pinned it to the ground in mere minutes, beating it in the fight. Fiske begged Revenant to let it go, apologised for seeking him out, but Revenant was not content to let it go. He decided to take its eyes as punishment, and ripped one of them out. Before he could take the other, Bloodhound found them. And they did not hesitate to defend their child, destroying Revenant's body and taking his head as a trophy. They brought Fiske back to Lifeline, but there was nothing she could do aside from stop the bleeding and bandage it up. Both Bloodhound and Fiske felt guilty for the incident, and apologised to eachother for it.
