About
Castoriea is a noxiie from ancient times. Once revered as a powerful healer, many a noxiie and creature would embark on great journeys, traveling far and wide to seek her and her companion's wisdom. She was part of a nomadic tribe made up of other powerful noxiies, with human followers who tended to their needs. The ancient times were mostly peaceful as far as Castoriea was concerned.
As time went on Castoriea fell in love with one of the human followers, which wasn't unheard of, but sadly Castoriea's beauty had caught the eye of many corrupt and wicked humans who believed it was deplorable to have all of Castoriea's love. They set in motion a plan that killed and twisted the corpse of Castoriea's lover, turning them into a monster.
Upon finding her lover's corpse she held onto them as their body warped and twisted. Unable to do anything to help them Castoriea let loose, turning hysterical and exerting all her power at once as if to try anything to stop what was happening. The result was her cursing the land she was on.
Falling back onto the nearby tree, she began to slumber, fading into a deep dormant state. No one was able to get close to her without suffering extreme fatigue as if their life force was being drained from them and fueling the cursed land itself. The area seemed to flourish under the curse, and soon a forest erupted all around Castoriea's body. Fae creatures would soon make their home in the magic forest along with rare creatures from all over. The land becoming a safe haven for them and oddities alike, and in time it would come to be known as the Dawnhelm Forest.
"Enough with the healing. It's time for me to heal myself."
Combat
Castoriea's combat abilities are primarily focused on her proficiency in healing and nature magic. She can draw upon the energy of the surrounding flora and fauna to enhance her spells, allowing her to heal wounds and cure diseases. Additionally, she has a limited ability to drain the life force from living beings, which she can use to heal herself or those in dire need. Castoriea is a pacifist at heart, preferring to use her powers to restore and preserve life rather than to take it.
Cure
Cure is a powerful magical ability that allows its user to heal wounds, cure diseases, and restore vitality to living beings. Those who possess this ability are highly valued for their ability to mend injuries and restore health. Cure can range from minor healing spells to more potent and complex spells that can bring a person back from the brink of death. Despite its impressive healing abilities, Cure can be physically and mentally taxing on the caster, and overuse can lead to exhaustion or even burnout.
life Force Drain
Life Force Drain is a magical ability that allows its user to drain the life force of other living beings.The ability can range from minor energy sapping to more potent and complex spells that can drain a target's life force completely. Despite its power, the use of Life Force Drain can also have negative effects on the user, as it can leave them weakened, vulnerable, and possibly even corrupted by the energy they've stolen.
Personality
Castoriea was known for her gentle and nurturing demeanor. she exudes a warmth and approachability that makes her beloved by her people. Her personality is both kind and empathetic, making her a natural caretaker. Castoriea was deeply committed to her community and spent much of her time listening and offering advice to those who seek her guidance. She was patient and understanding, always seeking to help others find their own path. Her gentle spirit and compassionate nature make her a natural leader, and her people looked to her as a source of comfort and wisdom.

After the curse
Castoriea personality underwent a drastic change. While she remained soft and gentle in nature, her focus shifted entirely to her lover turned monster and the forest she had created around them. Castoriea withdrew from the world, no longer interested in healing or helping others as she had once been. Instead, she spent her days wandering through the Dawnhelm Forest, tending to her lover's twisted form and communing with the creatures that had made their home there.
