hailing from fontaine, matthias is on a quest for knowledge, like most people from his nation. however, he's not quite sure what exactly he's after. whatever catches his attention - be it real or legend - is often what he sets himself out to search for.

although he's an experienced adventurer, matthias often finds himself extremely passionate about seeking out the unknown. when he has his eyes set on something, it's difficult to dissuade him from it.

• his hair frames his face; often is long or short. depends on how long he's out of major cities
• has a small frog keychain given to him by someone he cares about. does not leave anywhere without it. usually has it attached to his kamera, journal, or bag, sometimes he holds onto it for comfort
• likes to keep himself well-presented, and his weapons/acessories are usually extravagant to match
