Background

Lia's younger childhood was one that was dropped in the middle of a villain's den, her parents were high ranking villains that wanted to raise an empire. In the literal sense. Her biological parents were the ones that started and ran the cult as its leaders, with the mix of their quirks and charisma made them a lethally manipulative pair. They developed an idea, of needing to make the world as powerful as possible because obviously quirks are just the gods/goddesses making sure the worthy were strong enough for the end of this world. So they shared this idea to the masses and began to manipulated followers to commit crimes only to move quickly into hurting/killing many people in the name of their holy mission. To draw in more people and to grow their numbers, they pushed the idea of free love and that 'The Family' needs to make sure they can refill the land after the apocalypse.

Lia has about 3 full blooded siblings, 2 step siblings on her father's side, and 4 step siblings on her mother's side. Lia was the second youngest of her biological family, but that didn't mean 'The Family' didn't pull her into their acts and out on to the field with them as soon as she had enough control of her Quirk. But even though her parents were villains, that doesn't mean that they didn't care for their kids, in their own way. Surprisingly Lia's memories of her 'Family' life was always happy. But even still they're were villains, that caused massive damage and harmed many people with their collective actions to the surrounding towns/cities around their compound. After a particularly gruesome spree of violence and crimes the government finally stepped in to end their deeds.

When her 'Family' was caught when Lia was 7, during the trail it was found out that most of the younger children didn't even know what they were doing or what was being done to them was wrong. Believing that all the violence they were causing was all apart of a game and thought that most religions practiced religious mutilation. This mutilation was something the cult practiced on young/new initiates to show their loyalty to 'The Family,' they make them wear a modified scold's bridle that cuts into their lips. Withstanding the pain and pushing your limit for 'The Family' showed your devotion. The court understood that the younger children could possibly be rehabilitated while the older children were probably going to need help/monitoring all their lives. And so the government believed that it'd be in everyone's best interest to split up the family for public safety.

Since then Lia has stayed on campus at U.A. High, she was given special teachers that would watch over her and teach her the proper ways to be apart of society in the beginning years. Lia has since understood her actions weren't an actual game, and has seriously hurt others because of the "game" her family played. This decision seemed like the safest place for her and the public, but still there's plenty of animosity towards her and her family. She's allowed to send letters to her other siblings and sometimes to her incarcerated family members, but they're all monitored to make sure the family isn't reverting to their old ways.

She's not allowed to leave campus without an escort, and mostly spends her time playing video games while watching the students roll through the school. Sometimes people recognize her or mistake her for her mother, which she share similar features too. This sometimes leads to a fight or Lia just running back to U.A. seeing how using her powers is often punished even if it's in self-defense. Lia wishes she could live like a normal girl when she graduates, but that might be a stretch.
