Name: Elysium

Age: Unknown

Physique: Elysium is a tall, relatively slim entity with pure white skin that almost glistens in the light. Their hair is like long silk, which trails behind them like a robe. The most striking feature of Elysium is their seven eyes, with which are all light blue and clouded. All of their eyes lie vertically, and so, when closed, almost appear to be grotesque slits in their sockets. Atop their head are antlers, with which extend up and backwards, branching out like a tree. These antlers tend to be tangled with their own hair, or white flowers. White flowers, however, don't bloom in the forests of Nod naturally, so no one's quite sure as to where these come from. They may come from the antlers of the entity themselves, or their hair. Elysium has two sets of arms, one right below the other. Their pectoral muscles and ribcage are slightly extended because of this, the very edge of the pectoral linking to the deltoid of the second arms. Their fingers are long, adorning slender, white nails. The entity doesn't always appear with wings, but some witnesses have described so. They extend from the entity's lower back and drape against the ground.

General Background: Amongst the humans in the Land of Nod, Elysium is described as a spirit of the forests of Nod. Sightings only seem to occur within a particular part of the forests, where fruits fall from the trees and flowers blossom. The forests of Nod are not particularly kind, in that trees look more like dark veins reaching towards the sky, and the ground is without grass. However, in Elysium's territory, it's quite the opposite. It's been described as a paradise, what wanderers feel Eden would look like; a garden of life. This is the only part of the forests angels are unable to touch. It's as if there's some kind of energy they can't withstand, or a threshold they're unable to pass. Of those inflicted with the Elysian sickness, most were collectors, those responsible with finding resources and food for wanderer solaces. This is because they're specifically scouting out the thriving territory of the forests in order to harvest fruits and crops. What strikes most odd about this supposed spirit is their eerie, divine beauty. There's nothing beautiful about the divine creatures of Nod. Angels are eldritch horrors; abominations that ride the winds of the deserts. Adam and Eve have been described as sickly, inhumane forms of incomprehensible horrors. Lazarus is another horror of the sky; a human without a soul behind his eyes. Elysium, however, has only ever been described as a horrific beauty; something uncanny, yet carrying an ethereal energy that leaves witnesses stunned.

About: Elysium is another mysterious entity in the Land of Nod; brief sightings being whispered by those driven mad. They saw them in the forests, their white hands delicately caressing trees as they walked past, vanishing as if made of thin air. They recall their eyes, their antlers, which seemed to reach up to the sky and call to the Heavens. They were something both beautiful and uncanny. Something eerie yet ethereal. Their long hair was like a trail of snow. Perhaps it was even mist. Anyone who sets eyes on this supposed entity derail into obsession, often referred to the Elysian sickness by wanderers. Rather than yearning to find Eden and discover the truth, they become obsessed with the idea of Elysium, and finding this so called paradise. All other goals, aspirations, and desires are thrown out the window, and all they ever think about is 'The Elysium'. Those with this sickness will soon put aside even necessary chores, such as eating, drinking, and sleeping if it gets in the way of their obsession. Because of this almost cruel trance, wanderers are often left to wonder what exactly this entity's intentions are. Those with Elysian sickness seem to be overwhelmed with the fact the world is cruel, dangerous, and are more than convinced if they can find 'The Elysium', they'll be able to live in bliss. They'll be safe, loved, and happy. More often than not, those who came down with Elysian sickness and withheld, soon vanished, never to be seen again. It's unsure as to how they escaped, where they went, or if they're even alive.
