His story goes kinda hand in hand with Daquiri's for the most part. But, for starters, he's the complete opposite of the Party Animal, Daiquiri. He's resposible, a great leader, a hard worker, and independent. He's incredibly smart and takes very good care of himself and tries to take good care of Daquiri. He met Daiquiri in highschool, his junior year, her freshman year, and ended up being best friends with her. Her morals weren't out of wack like they are now at all, she was very alike to Joey. But now that they're far out of highschool, she took advantage of her age and her morals, and took some risks. So now, they live together in a tight apartment where he holds it down and keeps her safe and healthy. She's oblivious to how he feels about her, he's liked her ever since he met her but they were both too shy to do anything. So they've been practically inseparable since. He now feels like he's being abandoned since she's so out there and popular with all of these friends of hers, but at the end of the day, she comes home intoxicated and ends up cuddling up on Joey and falling asleep on him, so he lives off of that little sliver of love. But when she wakes up the next morning, she has no clue because Joey puts her to bed after a few hours of cuddling. 

Their relation to the S.S. Bermuda storyline is that Daiquiri befriends Bermuda, and shows her around and their rebellious personality blends really well. So Joey sees Bermuda very often cause she sometimes crashes/hides out at their apartment.
