Isuzu

Once a noble in a distant planet, Isuzu was always thought to have been blessed by the gods from the people around her but she never thought that to be true. She spent a lot of her life in gaining the gods attention, working hard in ruling her land as well as earning the gods favour.
But one day, she had a choice to make. Isuzu could choose her people over Life's warnings and keep them safe temporarily, or she could take Life's warnings and become a messenger for the goddess. Her people in a heavy risk of being unable to thrive without her command as a result. There was a great monster approaching her land and she needed to act fast.
So, she defeated the monster using Life's blessing and as a result she chose to take Life's warnings over her people; as much as it hurt her to do so. The people never saw Isuzu after that day but sometimes she could catch glimpses of the people she once loved and see how much they've managed to thrive without her. She couldn't be any happier seeing this.

Her backstory became slightly more of a dramatic retelling than I thought it was gonna be but OH WELL. Isuzu now acts as one of Life's messengers (in fact, she's one of the goddess's most trusted ones!) and is generally seen as a very strict yet understanding person; she still expects people to carry out the job they were meant for even with her understanding nature! But slacking on a bad day and she'll turn a blind eye.
This does make her quite blunt when all she meant to do was be honest. When she apologises it's one of the most sincere things you'll ever hear, no matter how often you've heard it.
