Athalia, also known as "Cathedral" is a divine being from another world. A servant of an unknown god, she fights for what she believes is morally right, valuing the good of the human race and wishing to save it from any evils. She has a commanding yet protective presence, almost like a guardian angel for mankind itself - though she doesn't hesitate to strike down on mankind's own corruption, either.
Athalia is rather blunt, her strict moral code guiding her actions and very grounded in the moment. Though despite being mostly run by logic, that logic is rooted in her genuine desire to see people be happy and safe. Athalia is orderly and a natural leader, doing whatever she can to fulfill the sympathy she has for others.

Trivia
Athalia, a being not from this world, is physically very strong and can overpower enemies to the best of her ability. With giant wings, she can fly, and she's skilled with many weapons so long as they're not guns or exposives. Her eyes glow a searing gold, though they don't cause any harm - some say gazing into them can bring a sense of "enlightenment" to the viewer, though Athalia disagrees, preferring people didn't stare into her eyes all the time.
- Athalia can speak an unknown language from her world, as well as many ancient ones.
- She denies having any correlation with the Bible or any Abrahamic religions.
- It is said it is difficult for anyone else to handle her signature sword.
Backstory
Athalia's origins are rather unknown, she herself sharing few details in fear of it affecting human beliefs and religions. She does come from a different world - one where angelic beings serve a godlike figure, though even she never managed to meet this figure during her time there. She refers to her home as "the Aethos," and the god as "the Divine."
Coming to Earth
It's unclear what connection Athalia's kind specifically has to Earth, though it is understood that beings of her kind have done so in the past, either masking as humans and helping them or guiding them in their actual form. Athalia came in hopes of protecting Earth and similarly helping mankind - though uniquely with the addition of showing her real self to the population and revealing her kind to them.
She was found alone in the Kalahari Desert, at first believed to be an illusion of some sort, but quickly word spread of her existence. As she defended the helpless from any harm and fought off villains, she became a figure talked about all over the globe - eventually attracting the attention of the Justice League, inducting her as a member to her approval.
Relationships
The one who suggested Athalia join the Justice League. J'onn is probably her closest friend on the team, the two's mellow personalities blending well. They both have similar backstories, coming from other worlds, as well as a strong sense of moral righteousness.
The second closest to Athalia, both have bonded during her time in the Justice League. As two strong warrior women, they often spar, each almost reminding each other of their homes.
