About

Noara has been working under the crown as the royal seamstress since she was a teenager. She considers herself to be both overworked and underappreciated -- and she wouldn't be far from wrong on either account. Still, her work is highly regarded throughout the kingdom, and she makes a living decent enough from it to keep herself sufficiently well-dressed. Though her skill for her craft is near perfect, her social skills are nowhere close, leaving most people with the impression of an arrogant woman with high walls and a tendency to ramble... even when she's trying hard to be agreeable.

She's been known to use her hairstyle (a braid/bun combo) as a pin cushion and usually has at least one needle on her person at any given time. Almost all of her dresses and skirts have a hidden pocket in which she keeps her sewing scissors. Given their sharpness and weight, they could easily be used as a weapon, which brings her some comfort.

The burn scar over her right breast was given to her by a king, using a hot iron, after she made him a coat with a fit he decided unflattering. The coat haunts her to this day. Sometimes, she dreams of running away from the royal family and starting over in a different country, but she knows she'd never get far before they caught her.

Rasha [ best friend ] Noara firmly believes that Rasha is the only person in the world who sees her as more than just a seamstress, and she considers her to be not only her closest friend, but her only friend. Though they haven't seen each other since Noara left their homeland for a new continent, they exchange letters whenever they can. As a healer, Rasha has patched her up on more than one occasion, and she's returned the favor by getting bloodstains out of her clothing.
