Yan talks tough, skips classes, and starts fights. He's your typical delinquent who's been caught up in his rebellious phase for years now. This hard exterior is how he fits in, it makes him feel cool, and it's just who he is. He doesn't know how to express himself openly to people without yelling or saying something snarky, always jumping to defend himself and his lifestyle. He's as quick to anger as he is tears, and his stand-offish attitude keeps people at bay so he can hold the tears back until he's alone. But everyone loves a bad boy, right? His tough guy persona is as equally for show as it is real. He hates to be seen as weak, and no matter how much good he tries to do, he always ends up getting into trouble and causing problems. It's what he's best at. So why not keep it up and make everyone expect it and have fun with it? He has no idea what he's doing with his life, but hell, he's sure gonna try to enjoy it.

Yan loves baseball more than anything, except for his family. Yan is the second oldest kid in a large family all raised by their single dad. His family is the most important thing to him. While he adores his family, he doesn't want to live like them. They aren't cool. They're just living the grind...that's not where Yan wants to end up! Baseball is the only passion that Yan has, but he doesn't think it's a realistic dream. He can't see a guy like himself making into the major leagues or anything. He's never gotten good grades, and he got kicked off the baseball team because of them. If he can't play ball, he feels like he's going through college with no purpose. He doesn't know what's best for him or what else he can do with his life. But if he drops out of college, he knows he'll just be disappointing his family. So he pretends like he goes, but he just ends up skipping classes.ore often than not, and runs around trying to make a name for himself through his delinquency: intimidation, partying, lookin' tough, getting into fight, you name it!

• Loves fashion - he'll often steal his sister's clothes or accessories. She hates it because sometimes he'll tear her stuff on purpose to make it look "cooler" 
• Yan struggles with admitting his sexuality and definitely puts up a big front to protect himself from his own shame or any potential mockery
