Origin

• Me and my small group of best friends made this OC as like a group mascot thing.

The name, why?

• I think we named them Meme because it's the first random word we thought of that can actually be used as a name (unlike chair and notebook lol) so... we just went with it, I guess?

Them?

• Now, some of you might've noticed how I kept referring to Meme as a "them" and not a "he" or "she". There's 6 of us in our group with equal number of boys and girls (and also within' 6 of us are 3 homos //including me hAH) and we wanted our character to be all of us combined, so we decided to make them kind of genderless (before you say it, they look feminine in the drawing because I'm still experimenting with Meme's appearance, trying to make them more androgynous).

The Mask

• As for the mask, it actually has something to do with Meme's eyes because [.../see below], so they got a mask to hide not only their eyes but their entire face. The mask's face changes depending on what mood they want it to show. ✨
• BUT! As a downside, the mask only shows kaomojis and cartoony expressions, which is why people don't take them seriously.

The Eyes

• While making Meme, we couldn't agree on an eye color (despite all of us having black or brown eye colors), so we thought of making Meme's eye color based on their emotions. Each eye color corresponds to an emotion, but, this drastically affects Meme's social life (which is already halfway downhill) because they couldn't hide nor control their emotions.

More into Meme's appearance:

• Despite all 6 of us having black hair, we made Meme's hair white just because;
• As for the glasses, most of us have glasses so there ya go.
• Meme also wears jackets a lot because most of us do too.
