works under a captain he owes
gets 1/3 of the normal pay the other crew gets so he smuggles helpful herbs and medicines
he has been known to smuggle harmful poisons and herbs and may or may not have poisoned someone of great importance when he was young and naive...
so it is to say he knows what he's on about when it comes to herbs and has gotten himself into high places because of it
he's quite alright in surgery too, none of his operates has died
he's a bit notorious amongst nobles who are trying to keep their illnesses discreet  

always seen as bored or disinterested in things but sometimes he'll do a smug asshole smile 

personally besides the captain and his only purposeful mysterious murder he has no real qualms with anyone but will kill if needed, hes not a very morally correct pirate
he has a sensitive nose

but can prob smell a well baked pie a mile away
