"Golden Lotus"
*As a result of his rearing (Mango was a helicopter dad who didn't let Lian do much on his own) Lian has a very poor constitution. He is accident prone and wears luck charms to counteract stumbles and falls. Lian was granted life by the Buddha when his father, Grand Marshall Mangguo, wouldn't stop bugging Jade Emperor for a child of his own
*Lian holds an overly romantic view of the world and chooses to take anything and everything at face value. He is generous and patient with most, even to a fault
*His talents lie in traditional herbal medicine and elixers. Botany and rare plant collecting are his favorite hobbies
*Lian's favorite food is fried lotus root chips and flower blooms (he often takes bouquets gifted by suitors and eats them right in front of the poor messengers who deliver them)
*The pale streak in his hair is a symbol of his being spared the first of the Three Great Calamities that befall immortals who use unapproved methods to gain immortality
*A young immortal as far as immortals go, Lian is 150-200 years and is gifted peaches of immortality by his father and Jade Court members that enjoy fawning over him
*His fighting style is entirely defensive, chi blocking is the only method of defense Lian will use. Lian would rather run or hide than stay or fight
