STORY

My parents adopted me from an orphanage on the Air Continent and brought me home as their first of many children to take care of. Our home life was humble, and I often helped with chores and errands independently, even at a young age. By the time I was ten, I had been in school for a little while, and my parents introduced a new member to our family, my little brother Naaji.

As we grew, we gained a sister. We went through a tough spot shortly after when my father lost his job, but he did eventually find work as a Landscaper. There were times when I felt angry and frustrated with life for dealing the hand that it gave me, with a family that I felt disconnected from. As my psychic power worked its way into my adolescence I was frequently dizzy, and so I became somewhat introverted for a period. I even read up on evolution to see if it would bring me relief, but it seemed like it would only cause more trouble if rsuhed. There were times when I would quarrel with my parents and my siblings for no good reason. I even lashed out and hit my brother which I regretted afterwards. 

Not feeling like myself after many years, and with another sister being introduced to the family, I proposed that it was time for me to leave the nest and find my own way in the world. My parents gave me their full support. During my introverted reading period I had heard word of a Monastery on the Isle of Colossus that I wanted to find to maybe uncover my true potential with my elements. It was not easy to get to in the slightest, but once I was there, I was taken in by my mentors Minoru and Shin'ya. 

The time I spent at the Monastary opened me up to the realizaton that I never properly knew who I was, and through meditation, Tai Chii, and music I found my inner peace. That was until one day while I was meditating under the stars a small rock pelted me out of nowhere. It was shiny and hot and I wasn't sure where it came from. My mentors didn't know what it was either, but figured maybe it was a sign of good things to come. 

One day, two strange characters showed up to meet the residents. They were open about looking for a special individual, to which they presented me. I didn't really feel special, but these two strangers offered me a new place to live in exchange for helping them fulfill their mission. Leaving the Monastery wasn't something I'd ever imagined for myself, but my mentors encouraged me to take the things that I had learned and to go have some experiences. I decided that my skills could use refinement, and maybe I could achieve evolution with their help, by helping others as a part of Rescue Team Grand Trine. 

PERSONAL HISTORY

I made very good friends with a Riolu named Roshan at the Monastery. We often trained together in martial arts and music, and I found comradery with them. We had shared similar fates of being abandoned at birth. For what little we could do together under the restrictions of the Monastery, the two of us coupled for a short time before I decided to leave. Although we cared deeply for one another, we both agreed that our paths were meant to diverge, and Roshan, like my mentors, encouraged me to go with the leaders of Grand Trine.

TRIVIA

Pokedex says: "It heightens its inner strength through meditation. It always loses its concentration and focus. As a result, its training never ends." Meditite also practice yoga, but Safaa does Tai Chi instead. This also helps him hone his skill with fighting type moves while finding inner peace.

Meditite eats just one berry a day. By enduring hunger, its spirit is tempered and made sharper. Safaa does this as well, typically with a Sitrus Berry since it has medicinal properties. His fasting has led to having a slender frame.
