Family Life

There's not much to mention here because Echo would rarely speak of it. She changed her name and left that life behind her. All that is known is she was born as one of the youngest children to a pretty large family. She wasn't paid attention to much as a child and thus learned to be very self dependent. She had many skills from being able to put on an easy face to get what she wants, to more practical skills like arts, cleaning, cooking, and more. She's stated before how she couldn't care less what her family is doing right now or if they are six feet under. No empathy there. Only her one closest person knows that information though.

School Years

In her earliest years, she was by far not a popular kid. She was teased from her own siblings to all of her classmates. Come when she switched states and schools, she became a new person. She learned her lessons from her previous schools and now knew what she had to do to get by. Use her infinite charm. Fake her friends. Get gossip. Spread information. She was the one stop shop anyone could go to from a homework assignment to needing some tea on any event. All of the friends she had was fake. She knew better than to let people in but she still acted like everyone knew everything about her. It made it easier that her siblings either went to different schools or refused to aknowledge her existance. This is when her mask wearing begin. She was self concious about her face and quite frankly didn't have the energy to smile all the time. At the time it was a simple face mask that covered her mouth (given this is a minecraft based universe this wouldn't be too weird ok). It was rumored that despite this coldness she felt something for one single girl Vanessa, and further rumored that these two dated in highschool. Echo won't publically acknowledge this, although she isn't ashamed of her sexuality. Post high school, she did continue to a college but soon dropped out due to work opportunities.

Current Life

For a while after highschool, Echo balanced both an online college and her arts job. She was extremely talented and most known for her carving skills, especially her detailed masks. She was still known for keeping an ear out to town gossip though. One day, she was approached by a unique client. She was asked to make a custom flower themed mask for her, and Echo complied. She was meant to die that day of the delivery, but something stopped LunarCrane from taking out this potential loose end. Echo had the ability to be a strong hand that could benefit Crane in the long run. Echo was then recruited to work for Crane, and she accepted. Now she does any task LunarCrane requires, whether it be manning the coffee shop or removing loose ends to further LunarCranes goal.

• Echo is a lesbian and suspected of dating her then-friend Vanessa. (does she have a crush on Crane now? stay tuned to find out)
• The name Echo originates from my minecraft username ConfusedEcho. LunarCrane is from my friends minecraft username. Both of these characters, as you can guess, were based off our minecraft skins and the story takes place in a minecraft based world. Now I, Vister, am not actually the prime writer of the story. I usually make a ton of joke AUs and stuff but from what I understant I think it also takes place in a more dsmp inspired world???
• Following that, the creator of LunarCrane has a whole pantheon and long ass story. Amazing story writer she is. LunarCrane is not my OC and this friend at the time of writing this does not have a ToyHouse so I cant link her yet but I am trying to convince her >:)
• Echo is a HUGE coffee addict. to work for crane she stays up long hours sometimes averaging only 1-3 hours of sleep a day regularly and she works in a coffee shop (sometimes even sleeps there) so you can guess where the coffee addicition stemmed from.
• On top of that, you can guess Echo is extremely sleep deprived. What happens to sleep deprived individuals. Hallucinations everyone. She sees special little creatures in her vision sometimes. Crane tells her its all a hallucination. Not all of them are hallucinations. (also yes taking creative liberty its a fictional world im aware this isnt actually how it works) Echo has this other fun quirk with hallucinations. Rosebud. A notebook that she sees a physical person. More than once has she been seen talking to her on security footage. better not get that leaked....
• Echo, design wise, you may notice resembles a few other OCs of mine. Its because originally she was not meant to be a seperate character. Although I dont think I have a page for her, Echo originally was a minecraft skin of Skylar, my oldest persona and oldest OC ever. Thats also why in early art Echo has longer hair, because Skylar has longer hair. Once a story was developed, the name was changed and design updated to make the modern day Echo. also in early stories before the pantheon she was just an axe murderer. nothing else
• Her special axe. Love it. A wooden handle, well crafted blade, a dull rosey pink wraping around the handle for grip, and an ender pearl connecting it all, it was her own custom creation. The axe can be thrown and it will teleport forward because of the ender pearl as well as a few other fun tricks.
• I could go all day about some of the AUs I wrote or stuff in my headcanon. Heres a few of them. In my personal favorite and the one I drew the most animatics about is one where obvi echo is obsessed and does killings for crane etc and at one point is caught. At trial, Crane feigns ignorance, and Echo loved crane and believed she would do something to help Echo in some way. And then she realized in a split moment how that help wont come. She didnt know what to do or what to believe so she ran. Of course echo knows escape routes and with trusty help of her really good athletics and ender pearls she was able to get out and far away into the forest. What does she do now what can she even believe was ANYTHING between them real did Crane ever care or was it all a ploy to get what she wanted and keep her hands clean. Echo was no feuled with vengance. Seeing shes now a wanted criminal she needed to be able to hold her own a bit away from civilization for some time. Loosing her mask on the run away, she made a new one from the trees of the forest and her trusty axe as always. And thats how she lives for a bit, in the forest, alone. Idk if this happens during her run away or after spending some time in the forest but echo sets fire to one of cranes mansions :) (oh yeah shes also an arsonist it comes from an inside joke). this part of the story isnt solidified but I think Vanessa finds her at some point. Vanessa (canonically) worked in Luna Lillium and quit after finding out the cult behind it. And echo (still canonically) protected Vanessa from being killed yada yada. Anyways Vanessa is all for teaming up with Echo and taking down Luna Lillium one store at a time and thats what they do. This is apty named the Betrayal Arc/ AU (cause it isnt canon)
• Another AU significally shorter to explain is the Echo Crush AU. Whether or not Echo is in love with Crane in the canon story line is debatable, she most liekly just had attachment issues stemming from childhood. But in this AU it is canon Echo has a huge crush on Crane. Sounds cute but turns out very dark....
• I cant make this stuff up the original Echo and Crane story was made as a joke. This was back at the height of the dsmp my friend was a huge nerd of it and got me to watch some of the content including the episode on the tales of the smp where theres like that ballroom mansion etc. AS A JOKE me and my friend wrote a thing where its like Crane is the super rich heiress of this mansion and Echo is taking ranboos place as the servant thing. Also it was a joke ranboo ripped me off cause this is when he was just starting to gain traction and c!ranboo and just normal ranboo had waaaaayyy too much in common with me and my oc skylar. Anyways the jokes about yknow the servant ranboo thing being mistreated was translated over to crane mistreating echo and somehow its now canon that echo literally has no life outside of crane is super sleep deprived and all that. man how time flies
• The store name Luna Lillium actually originates from me. My friend needed a name for the store i cant remember why or whatever i can read the chat logs but im lazy and i was like i gotchu. she wanted a flower shop and a moon theme so using some google translate and a flower symbolizing stuff idk this was years ago we got Luna Lillium. I actually have the map layout for the store as a dumbass kid who is going to take architectual design classes in the future what else would I do. In minecraft, i never finished building the store cause its a bit moer complicated there you see. So this store would be considered a safe haven hence its popularity. Literally there are item weapon armor storage lockers at the entrance to the coffee shop. On one side of the store is a coffee shop the other side is a flower shop
