Jason Rogers

Backstory

Jason was recruited by SHEILD when he was younger in order to become the next Captain America. He's incredibly kind, and great when it comes to working with others, but he tends to stretch himself thin helping other people and trying to live up to their expectations. Jason never wanted to be a part of SHEILD, but after his best friend joined, he decided to as well despite wanting to be left alone. After the events of Endgame, he was even asked to take up the mantle of Captain America to which he flat out refused. He's also extremely protective of his friends and would literally kill a man for any of them. Jason also has 2 brothers: one 6 years older and another 6 years younger than him.

Ironically enough, Jason isn't even really related to Steve Rogers. The sharing of their last names was just a coincidence. Jason's mother was an agent of SHEILD who volunteered to participate in an experiment where they would inject newborns with small doses of the super soldier serum throughout their childhood. He was eventually be taken out of this program when he was around 5 because of his parents hearing reports that the serum was causing other children to develop cancer. Turns out the kids had been receiving much higher doses of the serum than they had thought. Jason has about 80% of what the original serum was, even after only 5 years.

After the deaths of his mom following closely the birth of his younger brother, Jason and his brothers were raised soley by their father and a friend of their parents who came to live nearby. The boys lived in poverty, and though he had plenty of people willing to take care of them, his father refused a lot of help, insisting that they could take care of themselves.

Growing up, Jason was a bit of a trouble maker, even making one of his best friends to this day in detention. He was known in elementary school for getting into fights with kids he knew were bullying others, often going as far as biting and sometimes even breaking bones. As he started getting more involved in sports, he started to clean up his act, and by high school, he was star athlete, loved by all his teachers, and seen as being able to do no wrong. Jason used this to his advantage knowing he would never get in trouble for beating up bullies if his teachers thought he could never be capable of such a thing.

He's currently dating Omilia and although they originally started dating their sophomore year of high school, Jason broke things off after realizing that she wasn't as serious about the relationship as he was. Two years later, after being frenemies and still kinda crushing on each other, Omilia asked if they could try dating again, and they've been inseparable ever since

Present Day

After the events Endgame, Jason was honestly just glad to be alive again. The blip also finally gave both Jason and Omilia enough to leave SHIELD (or SWORD I guess?) for good. Jason went back to trying to become a teacher and high school coach, and he and Omilia eventually ended up settling down in the suburbs to live a relatively quiet life like he always wanted.
