Joy

joy isn't actually her real name, which is sacred and thus never to be uttered, but it's her official title: Saint of Joy. thus, it's what people refer to her as.

joy and her twin sister wrath are old horse gods - alicorns made from early horses, long before ponies were as numereous and powerful as they are now. there were more gods then, too. a god for every natural phenomena and then some. joy was one of several alicorns who goverened emotion

like her title implies, joy is the deity of joy. she's just brimming with the stuff, a barely contained ball of zest for life trying to play at being elegant and refined.

her true name is mercy's mo(u)rning, though which morning/mourning depends on who you ask. she can't remember.
