WIP

Bullet wasn’t born or raised in the sweeten community.  As a matter of fact, he was born in the human village.  His parents were both pets that the owners never got fixed.  Bullet always felt… off, as a kitten, but he wasn’t sure as to why.  He had a really nice home with his humans, but he felt a deep longing for something more.  In a way, he felt trapped.  He didn’t feel like he belonged.  When he saw his opportunity, he took one of the biggest risks of his life and ran away from home.  The owners tried to catch him, but were unsuccessful due to how small he was.  He simply crawled into the vent of a nearby building, and the humans never saw this little guy again.

At first, Bullet was feeling proud of himself.  He dreamed of freedom for the couple of months he’d been walking, and now, he finally had it.  He was a kitten on the run.  But before long, he realized his mistake.  As days passed, he was growing hungry, and didn’t know anything about fending for himself.  That’s when a sweeten visited the village to steal food from the humans, and Bullet’s hunger drove him to follow the stranger, in hopes of getting food off them.  They led him to the sweeten community grounds, and he was amazed by this new place.  The stranger’s name was Delilah, and she was unwilling to give him her food… however, she agreed to teach him how to steal food from humans for himself.

Before long, Bullet was frequently stealing from humans, and it didn’t just end at food either…  He was stealing other random things, just for the hell of it.  Many of the other sweetens were not fond of his behavior.  One day, Bullet was stealing as he usually did, when a human snuck up behind him and caught him.  He was terrified, and struggled to get away.  He bit and scratched until the human couldn’t hold him any longer and threw him.  The humans were mad, and multiple showed up to try and catch him.  They knew he had been stealing their stuff, and they were ready to put an end to it.  Bullet was hurt after being thrown, and was struggling to run away.  He spotted a weird-looking object with wheels on it, and he had the crazy idea to use that, in order to get away.  He jumped onto the object, and it started rolling away.  He propelled himself, and kept going faster, until he was slowly outrunning the humans.  Eventually, they were out of sight, and he rode the newly discovered skateboard all the way down to the sweeten community grounds.  When he arrived, he tried to hide his injuries, because he wanted to appear tough and cool.  Luckily, he made a full recovery after resting in Delilah’s den for a while.

After that incident, Bullet stopped stealing from the humans entirely.  He also avoided the village for a long time, out of fear.  He got bored with staying at the sweeten community grounds all the time… and that sense of feeling trapped returned.  In his boredom, he returned to the skateboard.  He played with it, and slowly realized it wasn’t just good for getting places fast, but it was also fun.  He rode it a little bit further every day, until eventually, he was riding everywhere on it.  He wondered… if something that came from humans was this much fun, what else could be in that village?  He kept thinking about that, and one night, he decided to go with Delilah, back to the village.  He explored various things within the village, and rediscovered the things he loves about humanity.  The humans had forgotten about that little feline who was stealing their stuff months prior, and he was able to visit the village again in peace.  As a matter of fact, the humans came to adore him because they were impressed by his skateboarding abilities, which only boosted his ego.
