-Dawson; Ryland seem to think most people just aren't "cool" enough to be his friend, but the feeling is extreme with Dawson. He views him as a simple minded idiot most days that "can't understand his way of life" and "just doesn't understand him at all". He actually secretly likes being around Dawson; his compassion and caring makes Ryland feel cared about, but he, of course, can't admit this because that wouldn't be cool or anything. Ryland also either doesn't notice Dawson's huge crush on him, or the more likely option; just doesn't care. He could never date someone like that, Dawson's too "normal".
-Donni; Ryland thinks Donni is the hottest man in their town, and he is definitely drooling over him. His crush is entirely superficial, however, as he doesn't know a damned thing about Donni's interests, and probably wouldn't approve if he cared enough to find them out. All he cares about is that the hunk will occasionally come over with his cousin, Dawson, and Ryland takes the opportunity to attempt (and fail) at making moves.
